I have already deleted those NVRAM adds but no way.. I upload the last version of the oc efi, with the same memory panic error I only add that the same OpenCore EFI works with catalina 10.15.6 EFI-450-G5-OC-MP-last.zip

Hi Jake, I followed the dortania guide to build an effective OC EFI folder and looking at your 840 G3 folder, I tried to adjust it to my case. My very first installation with my Probook 450 G5 (specs in signature) was made thanks to Rehabman hotpatch guide (very similar to your 840 G3). Unfortunately, I'm continously having this memory panic. Any idea about what could be? I also attach the efi: can you please give me an hint? Thanks a lot Marco EFI-OC-450G5-MP.zip

I apologize @Jake Lo I didn't know that. I'm terribly sorry to have stolen some of your time. I hope you will appreciate my apologies. Regards Marco

Hi guys! Any hint? Any idea? Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm here to start a new topic: I installed macOS catalina (10.15.5) on my new HP Z240 workstation (specs in signature). I installed macOS after windows because I cannot do anything different. I feel quite comfortable about the overall result but, unfortunately, there are still some issues. The biggest one occures during the wake (after sleep): pushing the power button (or any key in the keyboard: I cannot disable the wake on usb function because there isn't one in bios settings) the screen remains black and the system seems to me unresponsive. It seems to me literally freezed. Furthermore, with macOS regularly running, I hear randomly some screeches coming from the graphic card. There are no screeches when I use windows. I suspect there is something wrong in my graphic card patch but I don't know how to solve it. I attach the debug file hoping in some help. Thanks a lot guys! Marco debug_26963.zip

Hi @Jake Lo! I asked an hand to maldon (from insanely and olarila) to patch the new DSDT. Currently, I have a custom DSDT with basically no hotpatches. But I will have a look in any case and report the result Many thanks! -

It's more or less the same. If you don't have any other idea, it's ok. You guys have so much to do with so many of us that not all the issues can be solved. I suppose this can be one of those cases. But, truly, I really appreciate all the efforts made. Thanks again! -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
Thanks Jake, but unfortunately the result is this one. I tried just putting the file in ACPI/patched and also forcing dropping during clover boot. Some questions: 1. Should I remove any onther VoodooPS2 kext? I still have it for keyboard (I deleted the mouse and trackpad parts) 2. Should I disable the ACPI hotpatch _DSM to XDSM? Any other suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks again a lot -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
Quite sure. The "Dispositivo HID I2C" is the only one which has a BIOS name. The "Synaptics HID Device" and "Touch pad conforme a HID" both don't have a BIOS name. Father of all of them is SYNA3063 -

[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
Hi guys, I tried (from windows) to remove the VoodooPS2Controller and to put into k/o folder the VoodooI2C.kext, VoodooI2CHID.kext and VoodooI2CSynaptics.kext (latest version, 2.4.3) since I have a I2C HID Synaptics touchpad. Boot freezed at this position. Could this be helpful? -

The origin folder related to bios 01.09.01 is attached to post #3 (the debug zip file). The origin folder related to bios 01.11.01 is linked here. Hope you will find some differences -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
If I upgrade VoodooPS2Controller from 1.9.2 to 2.1.5 (latest), I see this difference in booting error. Now I try to substitute the VoodooPS2Controller with ApplePS2Controller (published here for dell laptops) that I use in E7450 and see what happens EDIT: And this is the freezing whilst using ApplePS2Controller -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue

No way guys: dropping those 3 tables during boot doesn't solve any problem with bios 01.11.01. I start thinking about leaving the older bios to have macOS..even if it hurts to me a bit -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
Into Option, at boot, there was only 1 OEM SSDT flagged. The patched ones were not flagged, so I supposed they were not in use. Disabling the OEM SSDT the system still freezes at the same time. Now I revert to 01.09.01, because it seems to be the only way to have macOS running on this machine -
[SOLVED] Probook 450 G5 | BIOS update issue
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
The original device name in original DSDT.aml is still EC0 (searching for PNP0C09), so no change occurred in Embedded Controller name with bios 01.11.01. Any other possibilities? -

Hervé, where do I find the the name of Embedded Controller Device in dumped ACPI tables? Do you have any hint about which file should it be? You understood correctly: I didn't understand your first suggestions! -

Dear @Hervé, thank you for your suggestion. I tried disabling the EC0 to EC patch, but the issue is still there, unfortunately. -

Hi Jake, I apologize for the delay. It was national holiday here in Italy and I was not able to test them. Unfortunately, the problem is still there, after updating the bios to 01.11.01 -
On another forum I saw some kexts for intel wif-fi cards. Not for any card, just a few of them. If you have an Intel, you may try one of those. Let's see if that project will go on in the proper way. Cheers, M

Here you are. Thanks Jake! debug_1149.zip -
Hi everyone, I have an HP Probook 450 G5 (specs in signature) and I cannot boot into macOS when updating the bios from 01.09.01 to anything more recent (at the time of writing 01.11.01). I have a dual boot in a dual ssd configuration (NVMe: windows; SATA SSD: macOS, clover in SATA SSD). The only way to have macOS is to downgrade to 01.09.01. In this pic you can see the verbose during boot. I followed @Jake Lo guide of the 840 G3 to install Catalina but I just wanted to keep the whole system updated Is there any issue with VoodooPS2 kext? Should I use the ApplePS2 instead? Any hint will be appreciated Thanks!

E7450 | 10.15.3 | e-port plus II docking station
acquarius.13 replied to acquarius.13's topic in The Archive
Thank you so much @Jake Lo! Even if this is not a solution, it is a starting point. And I can avoid loosing plenty of time in doing nothing to solve it. I know that if someone will find a solution, will also post it here. Regards, Marco -
Hi everyone, first of all let me apologize about this post. I'm especially referring to @Hervé and @Jake Lo who already treated this topic on the forum but, unfortunately, I'm not able to solve the problem. As the subject of my topic, I have a Dell e-port plus II docking station (PRO2X) and I'm not able to make the DP available to the hack. HDMI and miniDP on the dell are working perfectly (credits to @Jake Lo) but when I attach the dell to the docking station the DP on the station are not working. I tried to follow the various posts but I'm not able to understand so much what I should do. Can you please give me an hand? Thanks a lot Marco debug_3233.zip
