I am using rehabmans patch for the kext, after the update I lost my D1702. Any suggestions? Just dont want to break it! Thanks.

With the E7440 on 10.13.3 the combo port works if you reboot and leave the headphones plugged in (before A21 BIOS in my case)

Not to scare you, but I work computer repair and I have seen machines newer then haswell have issues with "sleep wake" The issue can really be seen in windows 10/8 - when you put the machine to sleep, then wake the machine it will have a pixelated screen and mouse. This is caused by failed parts of cache on the CPU AFAIK. Not sure if macos vs windows would make a difference if a system has this problem, but if you try installing Linux (we've tried ubuntu only) it'll also have this sleep wake issue, but in weird ways vs windows. With windows its very obvious. Search google "pixelated screen after sleep" for examples of this.

would require patching DSDT/SSDT I assume? is there a kext anyone can post? it worked on mavricks for me out of the box I am sure of that.

THERE IS A VOODOOPS2 IN THE CLOVER/KEXTS/OTHER FOLDER, AND I DO HAVE A DIR ON MY DESKTOP THAT CONTAINS THESE KEXTS AS WELL. SHOULD I REMOVE THE VOODOOPS2 KEXT FROM MY DESKTOP AND EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/OTHER? SORRY FOR CAPS

I did try this, as well as reloading the voodoo ps2 controller kext for the update. I also went ahead and tried the keyboard viewer, but it does not respond to enabling or disabling the caps lock option.

I did everything as advised, reloaded my wifi kext after the update, as I lost wifi - and that worked. One problem I noticed after the update, right away - was that once caps lock is enabled, it will not disable until I reboot. Any ideas?

so can I go straight to the latest version of 10.11.x? just make sure I get these kexts upgraded. And that would just mean removing the old one from the extensions lib and adding the new one with kext helper?

I have successfully installed and updated to 10.11.3, but any further update the guide indicates I should be installing certain audio kexts? I just want to make sure I am taking the correct steps, I know how to install kexts - I have installed the track pad kexts which really improved its usability - so I also hope that kext and the one I use for my atheros card will carry over to the update. Let me know! Thank you!
