So in the future I can restore as if it’s a regular Mac? Also, regarding the static/noise problem will updating lilu.kext work?
-
So my machine updated to 10.13.6 and I started to get static/noise from headphone jack (anyway, anything to fix this?) and I had Time Machine so I decided to boot into Recovery and back it up without backing up the EFI partition (didn't know that, I thought everything is backed up) and then I canceled the restore midway. Now apparently TM erased my whole macOS SSD and I do not see it anymore. How do I get it back to work? Thank you.

[SOLVED] M4800 High Sierra update - lost macOS partition in Clover

So I got 10.13.4 running but if I decide to install security update 2018-001 then the installer hangs at kextd stall again. I guess some kexts need to be updated soon. -

[SOLVED] M4800 High Sierra update - lost macOS partition in Clover

Updated lilu, clover and FakeSMC. kext to no avail. But now the line before kextd stall says com.apple.IOGraphicsFamily instead of the one before. I am trying to follow Hervé's guide here: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333546-solved-stuck-at-kextd-stalln-240s-appleacpicpu-can-not-enter-system/?tab=comments#comment-2606109 Attached Clover folder for review. Thanks. How do I add it please? Any idea how to access that folder? -
This one is for 10.12.6 which I think should work fine. Also, regarding the USB, make sure you enter the right domain name in Clover Configurator for the patch. I fixed mine so I attached the screenshot as well M4800 10.12.6 BCM94352(DW1550).zip

Thanks, I just don't understand Step 3 under Firmware Features. What should we change that value to? Let me rephrase this: Make the installation media Copy my current bootpack with the generic EFI, and update the config.plist file Install perform post install steps

Hooray!!!!! Everything is back! I can see the light again! On a side note, I need to install lilu and nvidiafixup into /s/l/e by whatever reason (last time I mismatched the versions of those). I will have black screen if they are put in c/k/o. One more question: if I want to upgrade to High Sierra can I just install it from the update? As far as I understand: 1. Install the update High Sierra 2. Find the apfs.efi file then copy it into Efi/clover/drivers64UEFI Tell me before I hit the damn button

Let me try that. It was strange, my system was fine until that update. Also noticed today my wifi went “no hardware found” when I boot with -v,-s and -nvdisable=1. It was fine last night but not sure if it was because I updated Clover
-
By the way, I tried removing lilu, nvdiagraphicsfixup and fakesmc from /S/L/E and /L/E. No more boot loop but black screen for now
-
here you are: Archive.zip
-
I was able to boot with -v -s and -nv_disable=1 Updated lilu to 1.2.1 and nvidiagraphicsfixup from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/nvidiagraphicsfixup/?source=typ_redirect Updated Clover as well. Still stuck in boot loop. Any ideas? I am thinking of doing a 10.13 clean install if all fails. If that's the case, what should I pay attention to compared to 10.12? Should I remove the Windows SSD before reinstalling? I am having 1 SSD for hackintosh, 1 SSD for Windows and 1 HDD for data in my M4800

That’s what I am thinking about Lilu. Can you guide me how to update that please? About fix header clovers patch, I haven’t heard about that so I will assume no

I was updating from an earlier version of Sierra. Pretty sure this update is for the Spectre/Meltdown patches. I don’t know how to stop the machine from rebooting so here’s a video. https://youtu.be/v-ptu70ebRg

Hi all, Long time since I've post, as my system has been running fine. However, I recently updated to 10.12.6 and got stuck in a boot loop. Did a quick search and I suspect that the outdated version of lilu.kext could be the culprit. Tried to boot with -liluoff and got black screen. Can anyone help me to get back on? Please be a bit detail as I am still a newbie. What I am thinking is creating a USB Clover loader then mount the EFI on the hdd and update the kext, is that correct? Thanks all.

Just another question, although I know it's not really important: How can I make the WiFi indicator light on? The Bluetooth one lights up normally but the WiFi is off
-
Has anyone tried updating to High Sierra? If yes, could you tell me if it can be done as smoothly as with a MBP? Can I just download and install it then apply the bootpack? Thanks
-
Yes that's correct
