  1. Hi I've got exactly the same issue as the guy in this thread: I'm using the updated bootpack Jake provided but still have to close and open the lid to bring the display up. On a side-note, sometimes when I open facetime I get 'no camera found'. Is this a known issue? I've attached my EFI. TIA!! EFI.zip
  2. Ah fair enough. That sucks but appreciate the responses
  3. Here's a video of the issue: The short version is that it doesn't always light up when pressed and is hard to tell if caps lock is actually on. I took my drive out of this e7470 and put it in another to check if it's hardware or software and the issue persisted on the other laptop. Is this a known issue? I'll post efi shortly if needed unless there's a simple fix? Tia!
  4. No need it seems. Installed the kext and added the arguement, works perfectly. Thanks both.
  5. Hi, Jake helped me get my install going and I followed his guide, do it should be exactly as you say. I'll upload when I get home, thanks
  6. Hi It seems that with my battery percentage has always been a bit flakey in the sense that if I leave showing the battery percentage on, it doesn't count down. It's right at the time of clicking 'Show Percentage' but I have to keep unticking and reticking it to see the actual percentage. Is there an easy fix for this or something I can do? Cant compress EFI less than 28mb so if you need me to host it somewhere thats ok. TIA!
  7. Ok, bit of egg on my face here, tried a different Ethernet cable and it worked I guess all I need to know is if it's safe to change serial number and I'll get out of your hair Thank you so much!
  8. Also, is it safe for me to change my serial number in Clover ? Not sure I changed it is all.
  9. fantastic thank you!!! one last issue is that whenever i plug my ethernet cable in, its showing as cable unplugged?: https://imgur.com/a/QtHKYqQ don't suppose you have a quick fix for that up your sleeve?
  10. Hi mate, attached - thank you! CLOVER.zip
  11. Appreciate you're busy, but I've noticed that if I use the standard bootpack it installs fine (except I have the issue with Ethernet dropping and wifi hardware disappearing after reboot). But if I try to load up the installer using the alternative bootpack, it crashes on a lot of ACPI errors.
  12. One thing that I neglected to mention was that I've installed a Broadcom BCM94352Z DW1560 and I've seen you mention to somebody on a different thread that with a hardware change you might need to re-patch the DSDT/SSDT. Is it possible that's the issue? I also noticed that my bios was painfully out of date and have updated to 1.18.5 but still no dice.
  13. Thanks. I've done what you suggested and now get this: https://imgur.com/a/XS6EjwW I've attached my newly created EFI - not sure if I've missed something? Thanks EFI.zip
  14. UEFI - yep AHCI - yep Legacy Option Roms Disabled - yep Secure Boot Disabled - yep Installing 10.13.4? looks like this is 13.0.57. is that an issue or should I redownload and start again? Bios version is 1.5.3 Just realised I have the 'com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI' patch in place. Will that cause a problem if trying to install something other than 10.13.4? I'm struggling to find the version installed to this stick and couldn't tell you if its 10.13.4, the 'about' section of the installer shows it as '13.0.57' - not sure if that helps in anyway? I've attached the ACPI folder for you - thanks very much! Apart from everything already discussed, would you say the EFI looks right? Archive.zip
  15. Hi :) Sorry I originally posted this on Reddit and it almost instantly got removed. Here's the attached file - I'm sure when I originally put it on Mega I selected no to decryption key, but meh :) Thanks for the guide and appreciate you looking. Dell-e7470-EFI.zip
  16. Hi there I've previously set up my laptop as a hackintosh but had some very weird issues including ethernet working, then after a reboot always showing as unplugged and getting a broadcom wifi adapter working, then after a reboot showing as 'no hardware detected'. I decided to try a fresh install and it's freezing on booting to USB, with this: https://imgur.com/a/QAPDJlK This is the guide I followed: I've zipped and attached my EFI, here: https://mega.nz/#!gg1SxDSJ If anyone could take a look I'd be very grateful! Thanks in advance.
