  1. Hello all. Been trying to get sound working for this laptop for a couple days now. I think this is the ACL269, but not positive. I have tried a handful of layout id's for applealc, but so far nothing shows up for my sound output/input. I will try them all, but there are a bunch so wanted to make sure Im going about this the right way. Attached is my clover folder. Thanks so much! CLOVER.zip
  2. Found a few others with same hardware/problem. They suggested unplugging the dvd drive. I did that and so far no more panics over 48 hours. Appears to have fixed the problem.
  3. After removing realtek8100 no more reboots.
  4. I removed FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext, and AirportBrcmFixup.kext. I just removed the realtek8100, (Had AppleALC in there too), to see if that makes any difference.
  5. So i made the mistake of updating to 10.15.3 now i am getting a kernel panic again. (Had a similar issue before updating that was fixed by removing a couple kexts. ) Here is the info. Any ideas? panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff801f0288b7): "IOSCSIPeripheralDeviceType05::setPowerState(0xffffff80329d8eb0 : 0xffffff7f9f7a818a, 1 -> 4) timed out after 101776 ms"@/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-6153.81.5/iokit/Kernel/IOServicePM.cpp:5302 Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff80eec0bb40 : 0xffffff801e93bb2b 0xffffff80eec0bb90 : 0xffffff801ea734d5 0xffffff80eec0bbd0 : 0xffffff801ea64f4e 0xffffff80eec0bc20 : 0xffffff801e8e2a40 0xffffff80eec0bc40 : 0xffffff801e93b217 0xffffff80eec0bd40 : 0xffffff801e93b5fb 0xffffff80eec0bd90 : 0xffffff801f0d2aa9 0xffffff80eec0be00 : 0xffffff801f0288b7 0xffffff80eec0be50 : 0xffffff801f028479 0xffffff80eec0be60 : 0xffffff801f03f82e 0xffffff80eec0bea0 : 0xffffff801f027228 0xffffff80eec0bec0 : 0xffffff801e97d7e5 0xffffff80eec0bf40 : 0xffffff801e97d311 0xffffff80eec0bfa0 : 0xffffff801e8e213e BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task Boot args: kext-dev-mode=1 dart=0 nv_disable=1 -cdfon -igfxnohdmi Mac OS version: 19D76 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 19.3.0: Thu Jan 9 20:58:23 PST 2020; root:xnu-6153.81.5~1/RELEASE_X86_64 Kernel UUID: Kernel slide: 0x000000001e600000 Kernel text base: 0xffffff801e800000 __HIB text base: 0xffffff801e700000 System model name: MacBookPro12,1 () System shutdown begun: NO Panic diags file available: YES (0x0) System uptime in nanoseconds: 2901414464638 last loaded kext at 1238103242269: >!UAudio 320.49 (addr 0xffffff7fa1b3d000, size 434176) last unloaded kext at 513575169525: >!A!ILpssGspi 3.0.60 (addr 0xffffff7fa03b7000, size 45056) loaded kexts: com.realtek.driver.RtWlanU1827 1827.4.b36 org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad 1.9.2 org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard 1.9.2 com.insanelymac.RealtekRTL8100 2.0.1 org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID 1.3.15 org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2!C 1.9.2 org.tw.CodecCommander 2.7.1 ru.usrsse2.SMCBatteryManager 1 as.vit9696.VirtualSMC 1.1.0 fish.goldfish64.SystemProfilerMemoryFixup 1.0.0 as.vit9696.!AALC 1.4.2 as.vit9696.WhateverGreen 1.3.6 as.vit9696.Lilu 1.3.8 @filesystems.smbfs 3.4.1 >!AGraphicsDevicePolicy 4.7.2 @AGDCPluginDisplayMetrics 4.7.2 >AudioAUUC 1.70 @fileutil 20.036.15 @filesystems.autofs 3.0 @filesystems.msdosfs 1.10 >!AHV 1 |IOUserEthernet 1.0.1 |IO!BSerialManager 7.0.3f5 >!AUpstreamUserClient 3.6.8 >pmtelemetry 1 >!A!IBDWGraphics 14.0.4 @Dont_Steal_Mac_OS_X 7.0.0 >!AHDA 283.15 >eficheck 1 >!ABacklight 180.1 >!ALPC 3.1 >ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin 1.0.0 >!A!IBDWGraphicsFramebuffer 14.0.4 >!AMCCSControl 1.13 @private.KextAudit 1.0 >!A!ISlowAdaptiveClocking 4.0.0 |SCSITaskUserClient 422.0.2 @filesystems.apfs 1412.81.1 >!AVirtIO 1.0 @filesystems.hfs.kext 522.0.9 @!AFSCompression.!AFSCompressionTypeDataless 1.0.0d1 @BootCache 40 @!AFSCompression.!AFSCompressionTypeZlib 1.0.0 >!AAHCIPort 341.0.2 >!ASmartBatteryManager 161.0.0 >!ARTC 2.0 >!AACPIEC 6.1 >!AACPIButtons 6.1 >!AHPET 1.8 >!ASMBIOS 2.1 >!AAPIC 1.7 $!AImage4 1 @nke.applicationfirewall 303 $TMSafetyNet 8 @!ASystemPolicy 2.0.0 |EndpointSecurity 1 >!UAudio 320.49 >usb.cdc 5.0.0 >!AGraphicsControl 4.7.2 |IOAVB!F 800.17 @kext.triggers 1.0 >!ASSE 1.0 |IO!B!F 7.0.3f5 |IO!BPacketLogger 7.0.3f5 >DspFuncLib 283.15 @kext.OSvKernDSPLib 529 >!ABacklightExpert 1.1.0 |IONDRVSupport 569.4 @!AGPUWrangler 4.7.2 @plugin.IOgPTPPlugin 810.1 |IOEthernetAVB!C 1.1.0 |IOSkywalk!F 1 >!AHDA!C 283.15 |IOHDA!F 283.15 >IOPlatformPluginLegacy 1.0.0 >IOPlatformPlugin!F 6.0.0d8 @!AGraphicsDeviceControl 4.7.2 |IOAccelerator!F2 438.3.1 >!ASMBus!C 1.0.18d1 |IOGraphics!F 569.4 |IOSlowAdaptiveClocking!F 1.0.0 >usb.networking 5.0.0 >usb.!UHub 1.2 >usb.!UHostCompositeDevice 1.2 |IOSCSIMultimediaCommandsDevice 422.0.2 |IOBD!S!F 1.8 |IODVD!S!F 1.8 |IOCD!S!F 1.8 |IOSerial!F 11 |IOSurface 269.6 @filesystems.hfs.encodings.kext 1 >usb.!UHostPacketFilter 1.0 |IOUSB!F 900.4.2 |IOAHCISerialATAPI 268 |IOAHCIBlock!S 316.80.1 >usb.!UEHCIPCI 1.2 >usb.!UEHCI 1.2 |IOAHCI!F 290.0.1 >usb.!UXHCIPCI 1.2 >usb.!UXHCI 1.2 >!AEFINVRAM 2.1 >!AEFIRuntime 2.1 |IOHID!F 2.0.0 $quarantine 4 $sandbox 300.0 @kext.!AMatch 1.0.0d1 |IOAudio!F 300.2 @vecLib.kext 1.2.0 |IOSMBus!F 1.1 >DiskImages 493.0.0 >!AFDEKeyStore 28.30 >!AEffaceable!S 1.0 >!AKeyStore 2 >!UTDM 489.80.2 |IOSCSIBlockCommandsDevice 422.0.2 >!ACredentialManager 1.0 >KernelRelayHost 1 >!ASEPManager 1.0.1 >IOSlaveProcessor 1 |IOTimeSync!F 810.1 |IONetworking!F 3.4 |IOUSBMass!SDriver 157.40.7 |IOSCSIArchitectureModel!F 422.0.2 |IO!S!F 2.1 |IOUSBHost!F 1.2 >!UHostMergeProperties 1.2 >usb.!UCommon 1.0 >!ABusPower!C 1.0 |CoreAnalytics!F 1 >!AMobileFileIntegrity 1.0.5 @kext.CoreTrust 1 |IOReport!F 47 >!AACPIPlatform 6.1 >!ASMC 3.1.9 >watchdog 1 |IOPCI!F 2.9 |IOACPI!F 1.4 @kec.pthread 1 @kec.Libm 1 @kec.corecrypto 1.0
  6. Thanks guys! I removed the airportbrcmfixup and another broadcom kext and so far over 24 hours without a restart. Thanks again!
  7. So i have noticed that I will get random restarts (Catalina) on my 3358. So far it has not been when i am using it but rather when it has been sitting. When i boot back up again, your computer was restarted because of a problem message. I started looking through logs, but so far don't see anything alarming. Any suggestion on which logs to focus on? thanks!
  8. Curious do you have hfsplus.efi or apfsloaddriver.efi in the driver's folder?
  9. Yeah, i have tried APFS.efi as well. Actually HFSPlus also causes the same issue. (I can however use the VBOXHfs.) I noticed a couple other people getting black screens with this laptop, and i had asked one poster if he had the driver installed, but he never replied.
  10. Done, working great, thanks! Just one issue left on this laptop. So if i have the APFSdriverloader.efi in the drivers folder i get a black screen and no clover. I have been getting around this by placing the driver in a different location and once clover loads i use the shell to manually load the driver, at which point i can boot from the apfs partition. Is there anyway i can automatically run the shell script once clover comes up? (Or possibly delay the driver load?) Thanks again!
  11. Still messing around with this 3558, working great with Catalina minus a few issues. RIght now trying to get some USB issues addressed. I am using a small usb wifi adapter and when i had the USBinjectall kext installed it would not work, saying it needed power. If i remove the USBinjectall kext, the wifi adapter works great, but then i no longer have a functioning webcam. Any ideas? Thanks!
  12. Just an update, i used rehabman's config.plist for the HD5500, added a few things from the plist provided by Jake Lo, and i finally finished installation. Still need to figure out how to load the apfs driver, but for now ill just continue using the shell. Looks like sound is not working yet, and ill have to get the other wifi card, but lan is working. Ill post my final clover folder, and how im currently having to boot once i get sound working etc.. Thanks so much for all the help!
  13. What drivers do you have in your clover driver folder?
  14. So.... I tried loading the apfsdriverloader.efi (Placed it in a different location so it would not load automatically) from the EFI shell after clover booted up. That actually worked, as soon as i exited the shell i could see the apfs partitions and i was able to continue on with the installation. After it was done, it rebooted, again i manually added apfsdriverloader, and booted from the apfs partition. Now i am getting stuck at IGPU Scheduler Throttle Cap 100ms.
  15. No I don't see a new volume but I'm guessing that's because it is apfs , and I can't get the apfsdriver to load??
  16. I feel like i am getting close. Started over again, used files posted, but removed drivers ApfsDriverLoader.efi, and HFSPlus.efi, and removed VBoxHfs disable from config. This time i got to the installer. I was able to erase my internal ssd, and the install started. It got all the way to about 3 min left, then rebooted. When i booted from clover again, it did not resume installation, so i tried installing again, and same thing, got to 3 min left then rebooted. Any ideas?? Guessing i need the APFSDriverLoader, but black screen everytime i use it.
  17. So i can get the clover screen to come up with your files if I remove ApfsDriverLoader.efi and HFSPlus.efi from the drivers, and use VBoxHfs.efi removing it from the disabled part of the config. No matter what i try, if either of those drivers are installed, I don't get to the clover screen. With these files removed however, it freezes at AppleUSBHostCompositeDevice0.
  18. Yeah, i have to do that anytime i try a different usb port. If i use the 3558_A10_Patched clover folder from before, i get clover to come up.
  19. Did everything you just mentioned, just getting a black screen again, no clover. Attached is my clover folder, am i missing something?CLOVER.zip thanks
  20. Yes, Catalina, with the latest files you posted. I reinstalled clover with the version referenced (Its what i have been using.) I selected all of the drivers except HFSPlus was not listed anywhere in the Clover installer. Should i add manually?
  21. I found that if i added the Vboxhfs driver, and removed it from the disable list, i now get to the clover screen. Now it is getting stuck at AppleUSBHostCompositeDevice0, then i get the no entry....
  22. Thanks again for the reply. Positive UEFI is enabled and i am booting from the correct location, AHCI is enabled, and secure boot is disabled. I reset to defaults anyways and re set up. I went back to the files you most recently posted. Now I am back to just a Black Screen, i don't get to the clover screen. I have been through so many different files im loosing track now :).
  23. Went back to the clover folder i started with "3558_A10_Patched_Final_Version.zip" and added the EC patch. Still getting a Kernel panic. Looks like it hangs for a bit at Forcing CS_RUNTIME for entitlement: com.apple.private.security.storage.locationd Then I get deferred rematching count 0 IOG flags 0x3 (0x51) Previous shutdown cause. 5
