Nearly finished getting my e6320 working nicely on mavericks. Only issue, and its a bit weird is that the volume setting can be changed by volume controls next to keyboard and on drop down, but volume output remains unchanged through out the range. i.e. can change the control but the actual loudness is on full all the time. Any ideas anyone? Finally got sleep to work.which is nice, but need to find solution to this. Any one else had this on this model or similar.

Yes I did use Herves pack, but he suggested I used my own ssdt as my lap top is a slightly different processor. done this and instead of not waking, It now shuts down. every thing else is working fine. I had set AHCI in in sata settings. Must be a power management issue?

Thanks, No this hasn't helped. No matter how I put it to sleep it shuts down. Lid or from menu.

I have tried this but had no luck. I listed it as a 2600 processor. It used to go to sleep but not wake, When I put it to sleep it actually shuts down. I have removed sd card kext but it has made no difference. Tried the above in terminal as you listed. Any ideas anyone?

I can now, Something corrupted my usb stick. Have reinstalled and now have mavericks and yosemite. Bootpack is messing up yosemite though so I am going to carry on with mavericks where everything seems to be fine. Thanks. SSD seemed not to be the problem. A bit of a red herring.

Yes I can see it in mavericks, but I cannot see it when I try and install Yosemite. Right at the beginning in Disk Utility and when yiou choose where to install. It doesn't show my SSD or its partitions, only USB with Yosemite install.

I set up my SSD with Win 7, mavericks and Yosemite partitions. I installed all to each drive and although I hadn't used bootpack for OSX partitions (e6320 laptop being used) both were running and I was able to identify the SSD in both disk utility when installing. When I installed Herves zip for e6320 on Yosemite, it would not run anymore. Could this be because I have a 3rd Party Sata disk and need to do something in Chameleon. I know Yosemite might have problems with this, as it needs trim enabled for some SSD. However, It was running before bootpack. Even more odd is that if I try and install Yosemite now, during install, none of HD partition are recognised, just the usb installer for Yosemite. So I tried this with Mavericks USB installer and I could see my SSD in this, So I installed Mavericks. Went back and tried to install Yosemite in the Yosemite partition, again, it won't see SSD and you cant find it in disk utility. I now have mavericks partition going very nicely with the bootpack for this (thanks Herve). In fact I am delighted and have got windows tuned up very nicely too. Again do I need to set things up differently in Chameleon or perhaps there is an option in Clover I can use. Thankyou

Thanks both. Herve told me to install his boot pack for e6320 and it worked ok and I managed to get wifi working by removing the broadcom kext and running my fix. Sleep does not work and he has asked me to amend the SSDT but I don'r have the tools for this. Would you be able to guide me. I have a 2540 and he had a 2520 processor. Do you know if the guide for sleep by Bronxtech will work on this laptop. Herve gave me some code to switch hibernate to zero. Tried but not worked. Every thing else seems to be working well and I am very pleased. Thanks Herve

Hi, I have removed broadcom kext and run my fix and wifi is working. SSDT. Do I do this with multi beast? Not really sure on this. sleep is not working properly, goes off to sleep but won't wake. In boot up it is telling me occasionally to click Secure virtual memory under security. Can't find this in mavericks but seem to remember it in 10.7

hi Actually I have got mavericks working and I started again with you pack. Everythjing works fine except the wifi which is broad con 4322. It worked well before the new pack. I have tried removing the broadcom family 43xx kext. Thanks for you pack though. It is really good and trackpad work well now. Naturally everything else is working beautifully.

Dear Herve, Could not use the my hack install and had to use ini beast on both yosemite and Tried this yesterday and it worked ok except trackpad but come up with these errors in my hack: Broadcom family rev 43XX Apple ACIEC Both installed improperly according to my hack. Tried your folder today, cannot get into either partition of Mav or yosemite now and also in mavericks usb installer can see disks in disk utility but not in yosemite Disk Utility when I run it from that usb. Cannot reinstall yosemite now at all as it does not see any partitions of the drive there than USB in disk utility. mine is 2540m not 2530 like yours and also it has a SSD HD. Will try and reinstall mavericks.

Dear All, I have a new (ish) e6320 i5 I can get the only kext to work from EDP which is the enhanced PS2 kext. However although it works very smoothly it tracks very very slowly. Ahh, so I turned it up in system preferences to the Max. Sadly this made hardly any difference and I need to swipe for about five times to get it across the screen. BTW way putting new voodoo PS2 on causes kernel panics. Won't even safe boot in my mavericks partition. So have not tried it in my Yosemite! In both had the following working, Got Wifi working and ethernet, Keyboard fine Graphics seems good on HD 1080 on Youtube Battery, Sleep but not lid close Voodoo audio kext works well. If I can get this mouse problem fixed, I am truly on my way. Oh mouse works fine on USB. Any ideas, I can use eep and kext utility but so far as using code I would need lots of patience from anyone helping me, although I can follow well explained instructions. I have 2 d430 laptops. One runs 10.6 and the other 10.7.5. The 10.7 runs lovely and I have installed from EDP and it runs fine and I am using it to post this. I find the installs really difficult. First, the trackpad is very intermittent right from the start. It seems as though things freeze for a bit and then work again. The next thing is that when I assign a hard disk and load it, it gets to the end of loading OSX and then freezes. Sometimes I get to the point where it asks me for generic boot pack or I have boot pack. I don't have the 10.7.4 boot pack, but have tried the 10.7.4 sent by herve this panics and I start again. If install generic. Life is difficult because of the mouse and track pad problems. If I could cure this I could load in a Kext to get wifi working ( I have the broad com card in place). Would need to know which one if any one knows. I can soldier on with the problem but it literally takes days to get anywhere with dodgy mouse to get wifi working. The wifi only works briefly for a second or two and then by the time I load in my wifi code, it has gone again. This is not easy to do with because the mouse issues. I am using myhack, on on both 10.6 and 10.7 I get this install problem and obviously I have missed something. I have made a Mavericks vostro 200 and I didn't have mouse issues and just loaded on a kext. I have tried copying the 10.7 extra from my working 10.7.5 laptop but to no avail. (this gives you an idea of how much I know) but to use kext helper under the mouse conditions is tricky and hence I copied and pasted. I think the reason mouse may freeze is a graphics problem, being that the mouse and trackpad suffer exactly the same. I must be doing something wrong some where. I soldiered on with the first two and managed to struggle past the issues and get to EDP and do a build from here, but it took ages. Days. If you use any technical terms not in this post, please explain them as I just won't know. If you say "install this", you will need to say how. etc. But hopefully someone can tell me right from the start how to solve the graphics or mouse problem, which starts right from loading from my hack install and choosing disk to install on. Any help would be great. Jeff

Hi, Thanks for all you advice Herve, I am now up and away with this. My problem is that I had not before made a boot disk to reflash the bios before so once I had reflashed it I was away. I managed to then use your boot pack and sleep works fantastic and everything else is great. Oh By the way managed to use an EVGA Nvidia Geforce Card 210. 1gb which had low brackets. It works out of box with graphics enabler set correctly. Was only £25. Probably find one cheaper on Ebay. Plays netflix and HD well. Worked with you boot pack with no probs. Really appreciate all the work you put into the Vostro 200 guide and pack. Thanks Jeff

I have a Vostro 200. In Bios there is no option to set to ACHI. There is IDE and Raid but no option of ACHI. Cant install OSX without this so any ideas? I have downloaded the modded 10.0.16 but doe not know how to install it., however, have installed latest bios 10.0.16 (Unmodded). have 3 other hackintoshs. D630 a 430 and a 1011. So I have a bit of the basics but not really flashng BIOS etc. Any one able to help me? ihaventgotaname

Hi all, I am very pleased with myself so far as I am pretty much an newbie to all of this and I have managed to install 10.6.3 to my d430 and it is working fine all except one thing. Now, after hacking the lp started up ok and sound worked on internal speakers. UNtil I closed lid, it went onto sleep and even though jack plug from line out had been removed, just stays on external speakers via line out socket. Go into preferences and look at sound and only external speakers are listed GRRRrr. Now, I think it is because on a mac with the lid shut it will switch of internal speakers, fine and it will switch it onto external so that you can listen to it through your hifi through Audio out with out lid open. E.g. If watching a film from mac on the TV. But on current lid sleep kext is not working right for this little lap as it does not tell it to go back onto internal speakers when the jack is pulled. Meaning in between being hooked up to the amp, the little fella is very quiet Is there another kext I should swap it for. Should I update it to 10.6.8 and if so will that ruin hark graft so far? Jeff
