  1. I'm using the Latitude 5510 Monterey EFI posted here for Ventura on a 5410, and everything works fine except some really strange keyboard/mouse issues. While typing normally I see nothing not normal, but when I hold down a key it causes "glitches" in the mouse, with cursor jumping around and ghost clicks. It makes it unusable because you often need to hold down a key, like navigating with cursor keys. Anyone have any ideas what can cause this?
  2. Haven't had time for this for a while but swapped the disk and installed Windows today. Still in a hurry so haven't had much time to reseach myself, but some quick hardware ID's here: The HID-devices seems to be mostly "DELL09A0". That's both for "HID Compatible Trackpad", and "I2C HID-Device". Keyboard: VID_05AC&PID_820A Or for "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" it's VEN_DLLK&DEV_09A0, so the 09A0 seems to be central. While googling the ID's I came up on this post on this forum as well, and it's got some more HW info:
  3. Hi,

Did you end up getting the 5410 working? I'm struggling to make Ventura work on it, but have issues with sleep and keyboard. Appreciate any advice.

  4. @Jake Lo Tried now, and physical trackpad buttons stopped working. Double-tap on the pad itself still works. Also, after you've moved that mouse cursor, tapping the trackpad will move it a few centimeters. @Hervé How to best find out? Boot Linux and do lspci/lsusb?
  5. I've used this laptop sporadically, and also there's something *really* strange with the keyboard, trackpad or both. I get lots of "ghost" presses, where the cursor jumps around in the text and even typing this is difficult. Not just the cursor, but random things happen alll the time. Not usable besides watching videos on the sofa unfortunately. Suggestions appreciated!
  6. Attached. Thanks for helping. Lat5410.zip
  7. Hi all, I've got a Latitude 5410 with i5-10310U "Comet Lake" which is running Ventura via Opencore 0.8.6. I'm no expert on this so the EFI is mainly based on EFI's that I've found for similar machines. The display/framebuffer settings are straight from another EFI (Latitude 5400 I think, which has a 8th gen Intel) so most certainly not correct, but I don't have time to learn how to fix this right now. Issues: Main issue: Won't start up from sleep when you press the power button. The button is lit a couple of seconds, then goes dark again. If I plug in power, it briefly shows a battery icon and percent charged on screen, then it goes dark again. When in this state the only thing to do seems to be to hold the button for several seconds until it powers off properly. It's still there with "hibernatemode 0" and "darkwake=0". No HDMI out (DP over USB-C works). Intel WiFi shaky. Running AirportItlwm alpha 2.2.0 it works but takes a couple of minutes to connect. I've replaced the card with a BCM94360CS2 which works perfect without kext, but required some modifications to fit with the adapter. Brightness: Fn+S/Fn+B is working, but not Fn+F6/Fn+F7 UPDATE WITH ALSO MAIN ISSUE: Random ghost presses on keyboard/trackpad. Impossible to use for anything proper. Untested: 4k@60Hz over DP USB speeds. If I use USBInjectAll or USBToolbox with custom map the trackpad won't work and touching it makes the keyboard stop working. I hope that this can be of use for someone, and perhaps get some suggestions on the issues. EFI-5410-Ventura.zip
  8. Just wanted to inform that my 5530 is booting OC 0.8 using this guys excellent EFI for the XPS 9570. https://github.com/baranovskis/xps9570-monterey So happy, because I've been struggling to get it to work on my own for days without success. Edit: WD19TB thunderbolt dock is not recognized as far as I can see. Won't even charge from it. Also I think there's other ppl that need credit for getting OC/Monterey to work on 9570, but this is what I used.
  9. Toggling doesn't do help once it's been at sleep. I'll remove the injector now, thanks!
  10. Hi all, I've got a Dell E7280 i5-6300u working fine on Monterey with OpenCore. Only issues are light sensor apparantely not working, but more important, after sleep the WiFi doesn't work properly (bluetooth works fine though). It's on but doesn't see any networks besides my iPhone hotspot. It's a Intel m.2 8265ngw, with IntelBluetoothFirmware/Injector 2.1.0. wifi.log shows this when I activate WiFi after sleep: Thu Feb 10 13:50:36.695 <kernel> en1: setting diversity to: -1 Thu Feb 10 13:50:36.695 <kernel> en1: Error configuring antenna diversity (index = -1). 11. Hi all, I've been carefully following Hervé's guide for getting Monterey on my E7270, but I can't get the Clover bootloader on the USB stick to see the "Install macOS Monterey" partition. The alternatives shown are just an old Windows installation, and now when I've completely wiped the disk, there's no boot options at all. Edit: OK, some more googling and it might be caused by HFSPlus.efi missing from the drivers on the stick. I'll give it a try. Edit #2: That worked, sort of. I installed the HFSPlus.efi UEFI using Clover Configurator and it boots, but slow. It's been half an hour now and it's only halfway along the progress bar on the black boot screen. Perhaps this about adding the HFSPlus driver should be in the guide as well, for us newbies. Thanks
