So, I want to go back to using OSXLatitude's bootpack, I don't want to but it's my only choice for Lion, no matter what I do, I get a panic with OpenCore (something related to AppleIntelGMAX3100), however, now Chameleon isn't booting either. It just hangs on "boot0: done" when trying to boot the USB. I made the USB using MyHack 3.3.1 (and thats how I applied the extra folder too). I can boot the MyHack USB via OpenCore, however after the verbose (I have -v in opencore's bootargs) it just hangs on a white screen.

Well, I did manage to make progress, I got Snow Leopard working with OpenCore, I gave up on Lion, the GMA X3100 just was not playing nicely with Lion and it's driver kept giving me kernel panics before I could get to the installer, despite Snow Leopard installing, actually using it isn't all that great, because a few minutes after boot, it usually panics. It doesn't always panic, but it does most of the time, so you just have to keep rebooting until you get an instance that works, which is quite annoying when you don't have a power button and need to clear CMOS every time you want to reboot. I have a photo of the panic attached. Also, You can still do basic web browsing on old Mac OS X. For Lion-Sierra, there's Chromium legacy, a fork of modern Chromium that can load any modern-day website with no issue, and for Snow Leopard, there's Arctic Fox, which isn't 100% in terms of it's site compatibility, however most sites will work. I believe it's based on pale moon, if you've ever used that.

I don't like using prebuilt EFIs, because I don't feel happy from successfully setting up Mac OS X because someone else did all the work for me, so I don't want to use OSXLatitude's bootpacks for Chameleon, and I want to use something that's still actively supported and getting updates, so that limits me to Clover and OpenCore, and I've heard that Clover is extremely difficult to set up, especially compared to OpenCore, and there's no reason to be using it, plus in the other place I get help (r/hackintosh's Discord server), it's basically impossible to get help with Clover, if I had a nickel for every time someone has asked a Clover user "Why are you using Clover instead of OpenCore?", I'd have enough money for a brand new MacBook Air.

I've already hackintoshed my D630 using myHack + the bootpack that someone here provided me, however for several reasons, I want to switch to using my own OpenCore EFI, and it boots using a 64-bit kernel, but GMA graphics need a 32 bit kernel, however when I try enabling the 32-bit kernel, it just panics during boot. Someone in the r/hackintosh Discord server suggested trying a 32-bit userspace too, however that would hang on "IntelMemory : : init". I've attached my EFI and a screenshot of the panic. EFI.zip

Well, it seems to not be an issue with 10.6.7, as I tried 10.7.5 (with the 10.7.5 pack) and it's showing similar behaviour to Snow Leopard, except instead of hanging on the C-State thing after the first reboot, it panics on the C-State thing in the installer. I got Snow Leopard from the Internet Archive, and Lion from Apple. Would you have any ideas on how to fix that?

Doing those bootargs gives the same result, as I mentioned in my last message (you might've missed it), I believe it's a problem with the fact the pack is designed for 10.6.8 and I'm using 10.6.7, I'm going to either need to find a way to upgrade my USB to 10.6.8 without myHack (I no longer have access to it since I wiped the weird Snow Leopard distro I used just for myHack, I now only have access to Catalina and later which myHack doesn't work on), or I'm going to need to modify the pack to work on 10.6.7 Edit - Setting up a 10.7 VM to make a 10.6.8 myHack USB Edit 2 - can't figure out where to find a bootable 10.6.8 dmg -- doing Lion instead

D630_X3100_LoRes_10.6.8 Actually, just discovered what might've been the issue -- I was using Mac OS X 10.6.7 instead of 10.6.8, could that be the issue? If so, that's going to be a real big problem as now I only have access to Catalina and newer, which myHack doesn't work on. Is there a 10.6.7 pack I can use?

After it was installed, macOS Mac OS X didn't boot. The loading wheel locked up, and if I try verbose it freezes on a line about power management, I've attached a screenshot of where verbose freezes. I remember I let it sit for 10-15 minutes and it started making HDD activity again and sometimes DVD activity (despite there being no DVD in the drive, I heard the drive moving?), however it didn't make any further progress.

I couldn't find a 32-bit Clover version, and trying to use myHack results in the message "/var/folders/lp/rsnlrlv11c722x0pjty4v4f40000gn/T/.plx_tmp.AFtAlY: line 68: 10923 Killed: 9 ./myhack --gui $jogsubiSOEisfoISJFEosUBXzkuBSOUosdjsoruSROUHEgsoeuGzmhbkeeuigw07429yagsoIUAg90271", I'm assuming it doesn't work on Ventura (which is what my computer is running), I tried my laptop too (which is running Catalina) and got the same result.

I'm trying to install Snow Leopard on my GMA D630 using this EFI I got from Reddit - https://gitlab.com/iamroo_t/efis/blob/master/EFI.zip, normally I make my own EFI using Dortania's OpenCore Install Guide, however it doesn't cover Merom CPUs, I believe the EFI has both chameleon and clover (EFI folder for clover, extra folder for chameleon), I'm trying with Clover because chameleon seems quite complicated, I still don't have any experience with Clover (i only started hackintoshing this year -- my experience is all with OpenCore), however I'd assume the process is the same for OpenCore, format in disk utility with GUID Partition Map, create USB following the section in the dortania guide (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/installer-guide/mac-install-dmg.html), mount EFI, copy the boot file and EFI folder to the EFI partition (I also tried copying the extra folder alongside these too when just boot+efi didn't work, made no difference), set my BIOS settings as they should be for macOS, however when I try to boot to the USB, it makes activity for about a second, then it stops making activity and the laptop freezes on a flashing white line. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Am I not setting up Clover correctly?

I have a Dell Latitude E6430 on Catalina, and the brightness keys should be Fn+Up arrow to make the screen brighter, and Fn+Down arrow to make the screen darker, however instead it's Fn+Insert to make the screen brighter, and Fn+F3 to make the screen darker. I also had the same issue when I was using Big Sur (I downgraded to Catalina due to poor performance in Big Sur). EFI is attached, specs in signature. EFI - https://files.catbox.moe/sati71.zip

[Solved] E6430: Locking up when waking from sleep
Lost-Entrepreneur439 replied to Lost-Entrepreneur439's topic in The Archive
Disabling hibernation fixed the issue. Thanks! I see that you mentioned OCLP, as far as I know, OCLP is not needed for Big Sur on HD 4000. According to the Dortania guide, all you have to do to run Big Sur on HD 4000 with full acceleration is use a Haswell SMBIOS. Also OSXLatitude does seem to have the 4 line limit, as seen in the attached photo. -
[Solved] E6430: Locking up when waking from sleep
Lost-Entrepreneur439 posted a topic in The Archive
My Dell Latitude E6430 locks up when I wake from sleep. Sometimes it freezes the second it wakes, sometimes it'll take 5-15 seconds after waking before it freezes. Does anyone know a fix? My efi is attached. The specs are not in my signature as I am already using all 4 lines -- Dell Latitude E6430, Intel Core i5-3380m, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 2x4GB DDR3, 240gb teamgroup ssd, macOS 11.7.7 efi - https://files.catbox.moe/fmes9f.7z -
Well now macOS doesn't reboot, however it doesn't wake from sleep properly still. The computer turns on, however keyboard is unresponsive (pressing numlock and caps lock dont do anything) and screen does not turn on. I have to force the computer to shut down with the power button, and I still get the kernel panic message (your computer was restarted because of a problem blah blah blah) when turning the computer back on
