  1. Anyone used an external firewire interface with a dell latitude? He's a bit pissed off with me and might not give me the money for the laptop. Some people are ungreatful.
  2. Lol. I guess so. I had however by the time I worked that out re-formatted the entire drive and installed OSX. In my defence I was very tired at the time. School boy error. Thanks for the replys
  3. Just thought I'd add. I was using a dock. I've had no problems since however I've set it to never sleep as I had problems with this before hand so I haven't tested this aspect. Only real trouble I've had so far has been trying to connect to a projector via VGA however I guess I'm kind of asking for it.
  4. Hi guys. Ive set up a d620 with nvidia for my friend and got him a firewire pcmcia card. Which to be fair shows up in the system profiler under both the firewire and the network sections. However when we try and connect it to his MOTU external sound card with the latest drivers from MOTU there is nothing. What more information do I need to give? Thanks Mat
  5. Hi Leon, Went badly for me here actually. Lost a lot of important stuff which was my own silly fault so gave up and concentrated on re-writing the work I lost. I'll give it another try soon enough. I'll let you know when I do.
  6. I've just upgraded to the new extra folder using the guide from the above post and everything is working normaly. I would however say that whilst running the edptool the first stage where you select which model you have the laptop crashed and would not re-boot. Luckily I still had the old leppy cd which I booted from and ran the edptool again. Now everything is groovy. Thanks again for all the hard work guys.
  7. Hi guys. Thanks to all the fantastic info on here I've mannaged to change my leppy d620 intel graphics into a sweet OSX 10.6.6 machine however I've done all this on a second hard disk I had spare. My primary hard disk has ubuntu linux on it. I was wondering how best to go about creating a dual boot that I could change at chamelion prompt? Many thanks for anyone with any information. Mat ps this is a fantastic forum
