Hi Bronxteck, I have checked the bios for the module bay and there is only the option to switch it on or off. But it can well be that the laptop does not shut down correctly. Then it hangs while shutting down with the white screen. May be I should play arround with the edp stuff. Is it correct that the acpi is responsible for the shutting down part? Or is there something elese I should take care off? Thanks madmax

Hi, I seem to have an issue with the 2nd HDD (WD500 BS). Once I have farmatted the HDD ML Recognizes the Drive OK, but after a While using it or its Data the ML does not mount the drive anymore. I can check the drives and ML says the drive is damaged. Repair aborts repairing. Does someone has a thought about this issue. thanks Madmax

please check Post 28 in this treat. The black screen issue was resolved with this method. Removing the NV kext may cause issues. regads, madmax

Hi, I used the myHack installer with a USB stick and then I copied the extra folder from the Bootpack. This was actually the easiest install process I ever hat. I hope this helped. madmax

Stupid me. I found it. Post behavior... Parallels reports that the CD/DVD Drive can not be mounted. So I can not create a new VM... Maybe someone has a hint for this as well?? Thanks Madmax

Hi, one new finding for my M4300. I use Parallels to run Win7 and a few Windows programs. When I try to install a new VM using the Win7 DVD then P7 can not mount the CD/DVD drive and aside of that it shows a message that the virtualization support is disabled and the VM might act slower. Update: I did purchase another WD black scorpio with 4k sector (for my new Hacky), so I had to install chamelion again. I found multifail will install chamelion fine, if the HDD ist connected as USB drive. It will do the trick automatically. Very nice! cheers madmax

Hi, I did solve the keyboard issue by using myhacks PS2 kext from EDP3. Now I have 2 new issues. 1. There is no sound. The speaker icon is there and the slider works too. Dell shows the loudness when I us ethe hardware keys. But no sound at all. 2. every 2nd boot I have a black screen. The M4300 seems to boot normally as I can see the hdd led flashing. Onece I reboot it eventually comes up normally. It then displays a message that I manually shut down the Notebook. bla, bla.... How do I resolve this. Please advise. cheers Madmax
