  1. 10.8.5 loaded up fully on my E6220 without any issues whatsoever. Not sure what is up with that AppleIntelCPUPowerMangement in 10.9. I'm up for additional suggestions... I'm learning as I go and enjoying it (sorry for frustrating you a little yesterday Hervé
  2. Looks like I'm still getting the same error. Just in case I was doing something wrong I reinstalled off the USB installer (which had the kext you provided in the /E/E folder) and I'm still getting the KP on AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. For the time being I'm going to try 10.8.5 shortly and see if I have much more success with it. If it works I'll continue trying 10.9 Let me know if you have any other ideas for 10.9. Thanks.
  3. Hmm you said copy the kext to your HDD... musta misunderstood, sorry. Gotta go for a bit. I'll try this soon and get back to you. Thanks again.
  4. Ok, trying now, thanks for your help Edit: Hmm, yeah, I don't know how to copy the kext via the installer over the old one... Tried in Terminal with cp -R but the MacHD is read-only. Gotta go for a few minutes... will look into this some more when I return.
  5. I no longer have access to my sisters MacBook so I can't run Myhack 3.2 Beta 8 anymore I will try the alternative method you mentioned.
  6. Cool, but, hmm, what do I do with this? Copy to /System/Library/Extensions of the E6220 MacHD? Do I need to chmod it as well? (755?) Hmm
  7. Ok, cool, thanks. I've installed r2266 onto my installer USB but still get the error when trying to boot the previously installed 10.9 on my MacHD. So now I am reinstalling 10.9 onto my E6220 to see if it will work. I assume that since it is on the installer USB that 2266 will automatically be what is installed to the MacHD during the install process? Or do I have to manually install it to the MacHD on my own or something? Edit: Still getting the same error even with r2266 of Chameleon. Going to see if I can get 10.8.0 or 10.8.5 ML on this E6220...
  8. Forgive me if this has already been discussed in another E6X20 thread (I searched as best I could but my Hackintosh skills are still feeble). I have a Latitude E6220 with BIOS A12, 4GB ram, Core i7-2620M 2.7GHz Dual Core CPU, Intel HD Graphics, 256GB SSD, and an Intel Wireless card (can't recall which one exactly, if I need to swap it out with a different one to get wireless working I'll do that after-the-fact). I have downloaded Mavericks GM and gotten the InstallESD.dmg out of it. I tried using MyHack 3.2 Beta 8 from my Latitude D420 10.6.8 Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) system but it wouldn't run due to an architecture error (not a 64-bit processor is my guess) so I used my sisters real MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 to create the install USB stick (8GB) with MyHack 3.2 Beta 8 and the Extras for Mavericks E6220. When it prompted me about the Yes/No question for MBR I said No. I then booted off this USB stick on the E6220 and formatted the 256GB SSD in disk utility as Journaled with label "MacHD" and installed the OS and selected the E6220 Extras, then rebooted after OS was done installing but it would not boot off of the MacHD drive. I tried booting off the USB stick and selected the MacHD drive and booted with -v but I receive a Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.driver. AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement error. Just in case, I tried the MBR patch from http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3559-new-os-x-109-mavericks-mbr-patch-final-gm/ and reinstalled this time onto an MBR partition instead of GUID but I receive the same error. I searched around the forum, and I think perhaps I need a NullCPUPowerManagement kext or something? I see in the Extras that it is already there though... so I'm a bit stumped as to what to do next to get this going. If anyone could offer a suggestion on this fine Canadian Thanksgiving Sunday morning I would be eternally grateful I can supply additional info at your request. Thanks!
  9. I need to reinstall OS X 10.6.x (and hopefully upgrade to 10.6.8 in the end) on my Latitude D420 which is a bit messed up right now (had been running 10.6.7 on it for a few years until a 10.6.8 upgrade in November 2012 messed it up - see my previous post for defails). I believe I initially did the install via SLD430USB.img... unfortunately I no longer have a copy of this file and the retail DVD I have doesn't seem to boot up properly via myHack or any other more modern methods... (I've tried about half a dozen different ways using a borrowed Macbook Pro that I have since had to return to my sister). The torrent for SLD430USB.img.bz2 that can be found via google has 1 or 2 seeds but I've been sitting at 0.1% complete for a day now. Does anyone know where I can obtain SLD430USB.img? I think it's my best hope to get 10.6.x back on my D420 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. Thanks Bronxteck, but unfortunately it does not seem to have helped. Any other ideas?
  11. I've had 10.6.7 installed on my Core Duo Latitude D420 for a year or two now, and decided to upgrade to the latest version of EDP yesterday, followed by running the 10.6.8 combo update (from apple.com), which worked fine, followed by the reinstall of the latest EDP, which is now causing my system to lockup non-stop every 15-30 seconds for 15-30 seconds at a time (that rainbox spinning thingy comes up all the time). Wifi does not work (I can see Wifi networks but cannot connect to them [it won't get an IP address via DHCP] and if I give it a static IP and try to ping something it says "no route to host"...). USB flash drives do not work either, which is a problem because I cannot even try to reinstall the 10.6.8 combo update since I only have it on a USB key, not the hard drive, and I have no built-in DVD drive on this D420 nor do I have a wifi connection anymore... a USB mouse works just fine, however. I can't think of any other way to get the combo update back on the laptop to try reinstalling it... hmmm... Any ideas how I can rectify this issue? I guess I should have just stayed with 10.6.7 I had read a few posts indicating that the upgrade from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 was pretty simple so I did not anticipate these issues! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  12. Yup that worked, and I now have the latest Chameleon v2.0-RC5 r665 installed and also EDP v1.5 RC5 too. Testing now. So far so good though.
  13. That seemed to work Thanks Thund3rbolt! Going to try to figure out how to upgrade to Chameleon v2.0-RC5 r665 and then install RDP v1.5 RC5. Thanks again.
  14. Hi Thund3rbolt. I tried that but unfortunately it still did not boot. I'm not sure but it does seem to be something to do with power management...? I've attached the error that I am receiving. If you'd prefer that I make a thread elsewhere to troubleshoot this I can as I realize that this isn't the appropriate thread. Just let me know...
  15. Thanks Leon. Unfortunately I still seem to get a kernel panic when booting with -x. Any other ideas? At work now but will do some research on my own later to see what I may have done wrong. Thanks
  16. Eeeep, I musta done something wrong... I tried updating my D420 to 10.6.6 prior to installing Chameleon v2.0-RC5 R665 and EDP v1.5 RC5 and it installed, rebooted, and now I'm getting kernel panic Going to look into fixing it tomorrow night but if anyone has any pointers please let me know Error: "panic(cpu 0 called 0x2ab790): "Version mis-match between Kernel and CPU PM"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.9.26/osfmk/i386/pmCPU.c:707"
