Hi, i am trying to install the new Mavericks 10.9 on my D830 with nvidia videocard, I created for this ocassion an usb stick with 10.9 and used myHack 3.2 BETA 8 and the new created EXTRA bootpack witch is placed on this site. The installation itself works perfectly but on the end an message is shown laptop couldn't be completed to reinstall click restart The log file i have included When i reboot the system the onlything i see is boot0:GPT boot0:GPT boot0:GPT boot0:error I think i has to do with the boot files or bootmanager Can someone help me out?

Hi guys just tested the new EDP tool out with an D430 with Lion 10.7.4 and all worked perfectly !! nice job.. Next step is to test t the tool with an D830 with nvidia chip and hope this also work splendid and solve my problem with the booting of the D830 To be continued..

Dear Syonagar. The test with an D630 i have put on hold, because currently i have not an D630 with an nvidia video card ( only intel ) not suitable for ML. I have now an D830 with nividia card and this work quit good and stable as i am now testing with it. the only thing that needs to be solved is the irritanting black screen just before login into ML.. I you know the answer to this little problem i will be very grateful !! I hope to hear from you Greetings.

Hi i updated the EDP tool to version 416 started the edp.command selected option 14 and automaticly set up and install . Sleepenabler works!! . The only thing i am having difficulties with is that when i boot the laptop and i don nothing just before i have to login an black screen appears and i see nothing except an black screen the only thing i can do is to shut down the laptop [ the hard way ] and start all over again.. When i click at the right moment on the spacebar i see the login screen indeed This is the only thing that needs to be corrected but where ?? i have no idea?? Who does??

It works with me by using adjusted an org.chameleon.boot.plist Iphoto works in the mean time also by updating the software until the latest version, I only have troubles with an delay while shutdown the laptop .. It takes quit sometime to shutdown the laptop or sometimes it doesn't shutdown at all ( and i have to press the power switch long enough ).. the other thing is the black screen while booting the laptop just before the login screen disappeared ( when i click at the right moment at the spacebar ??? the login screen is showed.. The rest all works fine with no KP at all Greetings..

Hi I also installed on an D830 with help of Myhack and ML GM version an working mountain Lion version.. I used EDP2.2 with the configuration number 12 (Nvidia) and options 4.Y.Y.Y . An KP occurred ( that is normal ) EDP3 i cannot get this to work ( i am an Newbie ) After reboot I also fighting with the same issue I noticed that when you click on the spacebar at the right moment just before the screen turns black the system is booting up .. ( just an tester ) I discovered that Iphoto won't work ??? Imovie yes but just not Iphoto I don't known if this will help you.. Good luck

Thanks, however still fighting with the install of EDP3.1 , When i use EDP2.2 ( remove before all VOODOO options ) and choose option 1 and afterwards run MYFIX/ full and restart laptop , still nothing works, So i think my solution is to make sure i install EDP3.1 correctly. Greetings.

Oeps, installed ML and working almost completly. Installed EDP2.2 ,Network card works,Audio works,Video resolution 1440x900 works, NO keyboard or laptop trackpad.. Installed MyHack-Utilities without problems or errors, Placed the EDP-SVN.pkg on desktop, doubleclick on it... Error : Action could not be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller fault -1.) EDP-SVN.PKG could not be openend.

Dear Syonagar , i just installed the latest ML DP4 versio on my D630 using all your tips and handouts to configure the laptop. However still i am fighting with the keyboard and trackpad settings to make it work on my laptop. EDP.3 installing?? i cannot get it work It's my fault because other people seems to have no problem.. can you describe in an for newbies understandable way how to install edp.3 for me ( and perhaps for others)? Dear Syonagar, thanks for the last tips.. Status now is: ML is starting up without using MyHack usb stick and without filling in extra command lines YES.. The resolution of my screen is 1440x900 and all is working stable.. The only thing i am facing about is the install of EDP3 I am an nerd but i cannot get this package installed When I copy the install.sh fie to the desktop and type "sudo su" and then enter your password. That works. After that "chown root:wheel install.sh" and "chmod 755 install.sh". I get an error nu such file or directory ???? It is my stupidity but I have difficulties installing EDP3 Can you please explain step by step what i must do ? Is there no EDP packages with I can install likewise EDP2.2 ? For me and perhaps also for others users that is much easier..

Hi what kind of resolution you can work with on the d630? is this 1440x900 or 1024x768 , did you install specific next for the nvidia card? EDP 3 i cannot install how did you do that step step by step?

Dear Syonagar, My laptop keyboard is not working , I tried keyboard option 2 and 4 in EDP2.2, but still need an external keyboard for type actions.. mach_kernel..... option I still need fo fill in while booting up the laptop. mach_kernel line is not present in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist located on my laptop I also have to boot with option pmVersion=0 in the commanad line otherwise i get an KP.. My video resolution is 1024-768 and cannot be changed to 1440-900 even if I replace ( as I did in Lion )the DSDT.aml file.. Any ideas??

Dear Syonagar i still get an KP after the installtion of edp2.2 However when i add this line alone the line mach_kernel arch=x86_64 -v -f pmVersion=0 into it laptop is booting up until the desktop.. For me that's a lot. I tried to install EDP3 on the automatic way and manually but thit didn't work with the 1e methode i get message -no such file or directory- I type: chmod -R 777 /install.sh ./install.sh _ is this correct? When i choose the 2e way after i type the last line regarding svn...... what must i type after trunk ?? I now get an error: command line not found ?? I have an working internet connection , sound works , Video ( intel ) resolution 1024x768 screen resolution can be bigger to 1440x900 How to that??? And is there an way to startup without the extra command line: mach_kernel ....??? Greetz...

Dear Syonagar, update ML after your last tip. ML is starting up Bur I still need to use the command line mach_kernel... ?? if not laptop won't boot.. Imanaged to startup en configure ML ( looks very nice ) Next step of my was to install EDP2.2 using the config for for d630 +intel option 6 and then option 4,Y,Y,Y I get an KP but that is normal ( in my case ) I then reboot but now an KP was shown whit an message about sleep enabler ( witch i had turned on ) Any more suggestions? Must i use EDP3 ? And if so how do I install this new EDP3? Screen about KP I included Greetz

Dear Syonagar thanks for the reply, however (I) am doing something wrong, I installed on an disk called hd Mountain lion(DP3)using the mach_kernel arch=x86-64 -v -f command line [that works]..Then i startup the laptop with usb stick + extra commandline mach_kernel.........Select installation language, and go as you described to Terminal and filled in the commandline sudo rm -R /volumes/hd/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext and click on ENTER but then i get error message: sudo: command not found.. What does this newbie doing wrong??

Dear Syonagar, i myself came out of the windows environment and are working and testing with apple OS since 8 month's now. I am totally over now to apple stuff, However it works totally different as i am used to. ( sorry ) i have an long way to go.. but i am learning fast and working now at home with 2 laptops and one desktop working with lion 10.7 very stable and good.. So in answer to your question ,, NO i am mot quit familiar with command line work so i need any help i can get

Hi syonagar thanks for the reply , but i have still an problem How do i replace the appleacpiplatform.kext if i cannot startup the system? Are do you have an trick for this? I now have two boot systems one from the usb install stick and the one i created bur this one won't startup until i replace the kext... can you help me out once again..

Hi Syonagar thank you, I followed up your tips and indeed the installations starts successfully, However after booting up, using first my usb stick, and selecting then my ML partition i get an KP.. When starting up using -x -f -v system hangs at the state: still waiting for the root device ??? see attached screen dump Any suggestions? Greets...
