    Firmware is needed for every boot and wake/sleep cycle. So this kext must always be loaded.

    It is: Vendor ID: 0x04CA Product ID: 0x200B You are right. I heard people with even USB bluetooth can get Handoff enabled. The problem should be on the wifi side.

    OK, but can you modify just the firmware version? So under Mac system profile, it will show the same version as on the real Mac. By hacking the version number, it may enable the handoff functionality under 10.10 as it now only working for vanilla Mac wifi/bluetooth module.
