  1. @muttonhead411, I second that idea for a separate thread for 7x90 OpenCore. Mine is a 7390 i5 FHD. Running smoothly with OC0.6.3 and Big Sur... My best macOS experience so far. The only thing that is not working are trackpad buttons, but this is no issue, since touch-click works perfectly. Guess I have to update my sig now. btw. Gestures and multitouch working perfecly fine, too...
  2. Thank you Jake. My Audio is working now - still have to check headphones but for now - BIG progress. Was able to fix Bluetooth as well - going back to "as Vanilla as possible" in SLE and installing the latest BTFirmwareUploader. Guess I learned something today. You guys ROCK.
  3. It seems that my AppleHDA is not included in the prelinked kernel. When I do sudo kextcache -boot -U / then I get this output: rebuilding //System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67050 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA16 for kext EnergyDriver.kext kext org.voodoo.driver.VoodooTSCSync 101009000 is in exception list, allowing to load kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext msdosfs.kext kext file:///System/Library/Extensions/JMicronATA.kext/ is in hash exception list, allowing to load CodecCommander.kext - no compatible dependency found for com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily. 4. How can I see if cache is loaded or not?
  5. Hello Jake I am using the config.plist from roberts boot files, they include the patches, right? I dont have any audio and in preferences I can only see AirPlay speakers, no internal ones. I can see internal mic, speaker, headphones, Line-in, HDMI-/DisplayPort-Output in my system information, but it shows no details at all. thanks for more infomation...
  6. thanks @robertostudios, I did exactly what you suggested and now I get com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (9267.0) instead of com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (999.1.1fc1) AppleHDA_ALC292.kext is still not loaded (no entry in kextstat). codeccommander is loaded. where else can I look?
  7. Hi guys I need your help with audio in EL C - booting Clover 3320 UEFI Updated from Yosemite without problem but Audio is gone. Using the DSDT from robertostudios with HDEF patch for ALC 292. this is in my kextstat: com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily (204.1) com.apple.iokit.IOHDAFamily (272.50.31) com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController (272.50.31) com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (999.1.1fc1) com.apple.driver.AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver (272.50.31) obviously ALC 292 kext is not loading, but why? thanks for any pointers..
  8. I looked at the machine once again. When booting in Lion, it shows an ICH10 AHCI and using Version 1.2, so my info in the first post was not quite right. ICH10 also matches the PCI ID 0x3a228086 that I see in system information. I have seen in the AppleAHCIPort kext that comes with Yosemite that ICH10 is in the info.plist with exactly this PCI ID. Why is it not loading a driver then? BTW I also tried booting with PCIRootUID=4, did not help either... Ideas?
  9. Hello Hervé Thanks for your hint. Tried it, but did not work. I took the kext from the Clover/10.10 bootpack, guess it is the same for the Chameleon BP, too? What else can I try? Thanks Michael
  10. Hi again. Need your help for some problem where I am stuck: Trying to revive my "oldish" Optiplex 755 mini Tower and bring it up to Yosemite. It has a IHC9-R board and Nvidia Geforce 210 made by Zotac. It is currently running Lion 10.7.4 and Windows Vista dual boot. Bios is A22. Graphics seems to work OOB, for yosemite, but needs more thorough testing after the OS is installed. This is what works: Got a Clover USB boot stick with Yosemite on it and your bootpack drivers in EFI-Clover-Kexts-10.10 The AppleIntelPIIXATA2 kext is there, too, but it does not load. I get to the installer screen and when I check with Harddisk-tool, all I can see is the USB stick that I booted from. When I check system information, I can see no ATA, but in PCI I can see that it recognizes the AHCI as ICHR9-R with PCI 0x8086, 2922 and further down I can see Ven ID 0x8086 and Device ID 0x3a22 However no driver is loaded, so it cannot see my harddisks. I have tried by modifying the info.plist for the XATA2 kext and added those IDs that I saw in system information, but no luck so far. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for your help. best regards Michael
  11. Patch request (sponsored) sent for Lenovo L430 2468-CTO, i5 3350M thanks in advance.
  12. Hi EMlyDinEsH My codec is a Realtek ALC269VC - so there are just some minor deviations from your sample. I got through your instructions OK and used layout28.xml. Sound works OK, but no Mic. Can you please have a look and give me some pointers. Pls find my patched kext in the attachment. ALC269VC-patchedAppleHDA.zip thank you very much for your help. Michael P.S. Had forgotten to insert the _DSM Method in my DSDT before. When trying to add this as instructed in your guide, I get this compile error: Object does not exist (DTGP) ..?
  13. Part 2: BT and caches Checked BT module hardware as per your instructions and per the tread given. Found that mine was a DW350; found a DW360 in another machine that I have sitting around and swapped it - now with the DW360 in the M4300 BT was working right after the next reboot. It seems that this has also somehow (automagically?) taken care of the cache building issue, too. I tried building the caches using terminal commands and all worked fine. Even though some kexts are not included in the cache (Sierra wireless for my WWAN card and some others) the cache is now used on boot. After one boot with a KP, the second boot was successful and now the machine is running quite nicely with CPU speeds between 796 and 2400 MHz. Seems that I was not that far off target. I am quite happy now Thank you - this is great support. best regards Michael
  14. Hi Hervé Thanks for your explanations. Meanwhile I have successfully installed FakeSMC 6.0.987 - downloaded from Github. As the download is a PKG and I dont know how to edit it, I ran the PKG (gave me an error message on install) and copied the result from SLE back to EE. Then edited the 3 keys in info.plist and ran myFix. Now my HW Monitor is running fine with Cstates and Pstates working. I am getting warnings though: system is telling me that some kexts (sensors) are not by a verified developer - how do I add those to the exceptions list? Now on to the BT issue... best regards Michael
  15. Hi I think this is my first post here, but not my first hack many thanks to this great community. This one is a M4300 T8300 machine and I have tuned it according to the SMBIOS tuning guide to MBpro 5.1 1.42f4 Installed FakeSMC Kext version 5.4.944 and the corresponding HWMonitor. My WLAN card shows as third party, but works perfectly fine. The machine came without BT card, so I moved one over from an older D820. Here are the issues that I still have and I hope that you can help me fix them: 1) no Bluetooth: BT is not shown in System-prefs and does not show in About this Mac either 2) no HW Sensors: the only HW sensors that I can get working are HDD temperature and internal battery charge percentage 3) the machine does not shutdown. it shows the grey screen, there is lots of hdd activity and it just sits there for ages. Have to shutdown with power button. 4) no kernel caches. I tried to build kernel cache using terminal commands, but keep getting error messages: Failed to generate prelinked kernel. Thank you for your inputs Michael
  16. Has anyone else tried nvdahal40g7 with ML? It might work after injecting the device id in info.plist
  17. I had ML working on my D820 nvs110 briefly yesterday. Used the nvdahal40g7 kext that comes with lion and have injected my nvs device ID in info.plist in this kext. That way it worked, although i had no audio, and no battery management and some other thngs missing, too. Anyway, it looks as if it is doable. Anyone know if this G7 kext is 32 or 64 bit? How can one tell? After that I wanted to use EDP to bring it to shape ( after all in Lion it worked like a charm) and now I am back to zero with ML again. Boot hangs at the same screen as shown in the first post. One observation with ML: My nic (BCM5721) is recognized correctly in Lion, but not recognized in ML even though the BCM kext looks the same. Tried to inject the device id here, too, but this time that did not do it... Ideas?
