  1. My mistake Herve, I'm just a bit frustrated with this machine. I've been working on it for a while and I can't seem to fix my audio issue nor my keyboard latency on logon screen. I type password and nothing shows up until 15 secs later.

  2. I'm trying to get sleep/wake to work and possibly my graphics card which is the Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS 256mb.  The integrated graphics already works with full qe/ci but I want to get better performance with video playback when using youtube or Kodi aka xbmc.

  3. Great, that seemed to have worked for me. Now, I'm trying to figure out which distro of Linux I want to install on the third partition. I ran into an issue before when i tried to triple boot my main machine in my room, which I'm using to type this now. After i installed the linux, chameleon bootloader couldn't see the linux partition upon boot and it broke the bootloader and now i always have to boot up with my usb plugged in.  I just don't wanna run into the same problem again with this D430.

  4. Alright guys, everything was a success in the little hack but im having a hard time installing windows after i've successfully copied over Lion to the partition.  My plan is to install Windows and Linux to be able to triple boot.  Could someone please guide me to the best possible way to get all 3 OS(es) to run without a glitch? I don't care if i have to re-restore the Lion partition from my CCC backup drive.  Thanks in advance.

  5. I've successfully managed to attempt this hack after so many times trying to win an affordable mSata drive on Ebay.  I've won a 256GB LiteOn mSata drive a few days ago and it arrived today.  I've installed it and it's recognized under bios and copied over my clone partition over to the 120GB partition I made for OS X Lion. I've cut my bootup time from 50 seconds to 25 seconds with this drive.  The only thing I noticed after the switch was that my cpu speed is now showing 1.20 instead of 1.33ghz like it used to be before.  Anyone that could shed some light on this?

Oh and the only thing i did differently with mine was i attached velcro underneath the adapter and had drive bay/bracket area so it won't move in there. And the one I purchased is this one: LITE ON SSD Solid State Drive mSATA 256GB LMT-256L9M--41

  6. I've acquired quite a few of those D430 latitudes ever since I've successfully installed Lion 10.7.5 on my Latitude D430, thanks to Herve.  I've made a clone of the hard drive so I could easily install Lion on the other ones. I've already restored the clones on 2 D430s so far and everything works as they should, except the bluetooth.  It's showing as not available and the icon is shown greyed out and broken.  Anyone knows anything about this and could guide me to fix it?

  7. Yes, i too was facing difficulty with with sleep/wake on my D430 with Lion 10.7.5. I followed the steps above which Herve suggested and now my sleep and wake works fully with no hiccups.  Im using my D430 now typing this and I owe it all to Herve for taking the time out to help me.

  8. I've acquired a cheap HP compaq dc7500 SFF over a month ago, I managed to get Mavericks installed on it but I need help compiling a DSDT for it in order to get sleep/wake to work.  Anyone willing to help me please let me know.  I will upload the Vanila dsdt when i get some replies.  Thanks in advance guys.
