  1. Hi, Following yours advices, I edited my config.plist removing the ACPI patches. After some tests, I still have the issue with improvements. Maybe I don't cleaned it enough. EFI.zip
  2. Running Windows, the battery life is normal. It can keep the charge more than 2 hours.
  3. CPU : i5-8350u RAM : 24Go 2400MHZ DDR4 Storage : 1 To Samsung 980 PRO NVME BT/Wi-Fi: BCM94360ng Hello, Thanks to juanpy0223's GitHub repo (https://github.com/juanpy0223/Dell-Latitude-5490-8th-gen), I succeed to install Ventura on my Dell. Everything is working: trackpad(5 buttons), HDMI (also by USB-C), instant screen wake, card reader… But I have a very bad battery life experience. During sleep, it seems to keep consuming the battery, but the fans are off, the screen is black and the system is lock. After a sleep, the battery goes from 100% to 5% in 2 min During wake, the battery can keep the charge at best during 15 min. I tried to clean my EFI, with no success. I don't think it's a hardware issue, the healthiness of the battery is at 89% in the BIOS I hope you can help me with your knowledge to revolve my issue, because it's a good machine running macOS and apart the battery everything is running perfectly. I post my EFI, with different serials numbers if it's can help somebody with others issues. Thanks in advance for your time. EFI.zip
  4. Ok I will try to do some research on it. I noticed one thing about the sleep & wake, I use firevault I don't know if is the cause. But after a certain time when I open the lid it asks me if I forgot my password. Or the laptop is turned off and it boots on the security screen of firevault. Any ideas to fix it ? Edit: Maybe a filevault fault I move from FakeSMC to VirtualSMC. Let's see. But sleep still as some bugs, when I open the lid I need to press a key to see the login screen. If not it's return on sleep mode. Is there a way to write in the DSDT to press Enter when I open the laptop ?
  5. Great CodecCommander did the job ! Yes I will remember that. Now my setup is perfect ! Thanks for all yours advises and fixes you helped so much ! I just got a last question, why have you so much SSDTs in yours APCI folders ?
  6. No worries! You already help me a lot with my kext folder. Jake Lo your DSDT seems to fix the sleep and wake thanks ! I also installed AppleALC it works great with layout-id set to 12. I'm at work I can't test the HDMI audio and the card reader. Edit: HDMI and the card reader works fine. Thank a lot! The only bug I noticed is the white noise when I plug my headphone on the jack. I'm also planning to share my EFI folder, to this community. If someone tries to install Catalina maybe it's can help him. So far my experience is great with this laptop and with all yours advises its greater every day. I don't know if I can do this, or where I can.
  7. Thanks!! It works ! Well, I haven't noticed it was the same value.. Now next challenges, try to fix sleep & wake, HDMI audio the card reader and my setup will be perfect !
  8. Oh, ok well I keep it in a folder. I also tried with Jake Lo method and Bronxteck's kext, the both keys still re-up the light but sometime the up key modifies the volume. And when I keep pressing, it seems the key is sharing the brightness with the volume. Yes it seems your E6220 also use the keys for the brightness, too bad it didn't do the trick. Well I didn't expect it was so thought to remap these keys.
  9. Thanks a lot, yes it seems it was a real mess. Following yours advises, was what my setup needed. It seems more fluid now. For the audio I had to turn back to VoodooHDA to make it work. And for the Wi-Fi I'm using a dongle, in waiting for a BCM94352HMB. I cleaned also this part only leaving Rts for the moment. For the BCM I think I only need AirportBrcmFixup, and BrcmPatchRAMs right ? Unfortunately, for the brightness the both keys still re-up the light, no down. I tried with the aml alone in patched folder, with the both aml and dsl but no change. Yes you right, that's why its seems better now with the correct necessary kexts.
  10. Ok I will try it. I'm kind new with DSDT I don't know if I understand yours advises right. For the BIOS I think it's in EFI everything related to legacy is unchecked and the boot sequence is on UEFI. To build my setup, I mixed some EFIs together maybe some kexts or else are the problem. I don't kwon if I'm authorized, I upload my EFI on GDrive since it's higher than the max total size allowed. And thanks for the time you spend on my case. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YPphTD8G62CqwWLNZ1cc95SVfvjlvSjB
  11. Thanks for yours replies. Unfortunately BRT6 method didn't work. The console still returns QC66 for the both keys. Maybe I'm doing this wrong: I opened my DSDT, cmd+f to found BRT6, replace with the proper method and save. I also tried to read more about in the Hervé's guide for E7250, change my VoodooPS2 kext to R6Bronxteck kext but still the same. Am I missing something ?
  12. Hello, I'm trying to fix the brightness Fn keys on my build. I'm using the ACPIDebug method to identify the propers keys. But for the both keys the log returns ACPIDebug: "EC _Q66 enter". I tried to use somethink like Q66 for the Fn Up and Q65 for the down. But only the up worked. Does it happend to anybody ?
