  1. Jake, Many thanks for the bootpack. Following your guide, seems an 8Gb USB is no longer large enough for El Capitan - used a brand new 8Gb SD card and ran out of space copying the last two files. Swapped to a 16Gb and not sure if this is purely to do with my mac mini already being on El Capitan but when running the Clover installer - the usb flashes as if data is being written but there is no EFI partition created - and hence no window is opened showing it once completed. In terminal - diskutil list - shows a single Apple HFS partition of 16Gb on the usb - Any suggestions please? Would have tried with Yosemite on the 9020, have 2 SSD's installed one with Windows 10 which has without request trashed something on OSX SSD (boot partition I guess) and will no longer boot passed initial boot screen / first apple logo - returns straight back. Cheers -Steve
  2. Jake, Thanks again, and yes would be great to try your bootpack, disabling USB3 is no major issue as I found it a bit hit and miss already. cheers -Steve
  3. Jake, Much appreciated, been reading about clover... Is it easy to switch, or any recommendations/ guide on how to do it? Was thinking to switch over to clover would require a rebuild. Cheers -Steve
  4. Morning all, Has anyone managed to install or know what is needed to install El Capitan on a Dell 9020 uSFF, followed Jakes great install guide for Yosemite? I am guessing a straight upgrade isn't going to cut it... As a side question, have a mac mini server with the i7 2.0Ghz + SSD, and the with Dell 9020 with i7 4770s + SSD - what I find odd is that the original and older mac boots somewhat quicker than the faster Dell? (this is from when OSX starts to load). Cheers -Steve
  5. Hi All, Firstly I must thank Jake Lo for his work on getting OSX on the 9020. I am a serious novice OSX user, though I am a tech with 20+ years Windows service (ouch!) so please bear with me. PC is a 9020usff with i7-4770s, 16gb, HD4600. Overall experience is very sweet, though having an issue if I plug my external Lacie USB3 HDD into the SuperSpeed ports it is not recognised. If I plug the same drive into a USB2 port it is recognised as is a USB2 HDD in the SuperSpeed port. I replaced the USB3 kext in Extras with the RehabMan-Generic-USB3-2014-1016 as suggested in another post for the 9010 - as these are vaguely similar machines though same issue arises. Any help, tips, pointers would be very much appreciated. SnookiWooki P.S. Out of curiousity what is the 'Correct' way to copy the kernel over to a freshl OSX install - I took the SSD out and connected it my Mac Mini and copied the files and installed Chameleon on it...
