  1. Thank you Herve (no offence taken). I have an E6430. (have a perfect hack with yosemite) However the problem is that there is actually no support for Enoch. I have installed with it because of not really understanding Clover but I am now stuck with no sound, no usb 3.0 and no 5GHz of my broadcom wifi card. I have been searching for help but everything I see is all about clover and UEFI. I really need some help but do not know where to turn.
  2. Gentlemen I am still looking for help. I have been able to install El Capitan on 1 partition of my 500Gb drive in the multi bay. I need help with post installation. Cannot boot without "nv_disable=1 My wi-fi works but not the 5G band Only 1 USB on the left side works Need DSDT with usb patch. Upgraded from Yosemite but now DSDT from yosemite not work. Trying to retain Mavericks and Yosemite on same drive. Not able to find way to have 1 bootloader. I have searched EVERYWHERE but not too many help for Enoch. everyone is using clover though clover is not for everyone. Tried using it but would have to go back and install for Mavericks and Yosemite. does any one have a working DSDT file for e6430 I could use? I am not good at patching because I have no idea what and where to patch. Tried a little for Yosemite but El Capitan is a different beast. All the stuff I find is for use with clover and I cannot even find a way to make it work with Enoch.
  3. thank you all for the tips. I decided to go with Enoch's boot loader since my other partitions are also with chameleon. I was able to boot and get installed El Capitan on my first partition. Most things are working. Here is what is not working. 1) Sound 2) BlueTooth 3) 5Ghz on Azurewave BCM94352 4) USB 3.0 Ports 5) Video seems laggy I think I really need a DSDT for e6430 with Nvidia NVS 5200, Tried to bring my file from Yosemite but it doesn't seem to work. Tried the one mentioned above but it does not work. Can anyone help?
  4. Gentlemen I need help please. Here is my setup: Dell e6430 core i7 with 16GB, 1600x900 screen with Nvidia, Bios is I think A13. 500GB Hdd in regular bay and 500GB in extra tray. I am currently using extra hdd just for my MAC HACKS. Hdd partitioned 200/200/100 and currently have El Capitan/Yosemite/Mavericks all on same drive. My Yosemite and Mavericks are running fine everything working, audio, Wi-Fi, mouse, trackpad, USB 3.0 ports, screen resolution (as long as I keep Optimus disabled in BIOS). I am now working on the EL CAPITAN install and that is where the problem is. I was able to get it installed using a clover install USB stick but now cannot boot from the drive. I tried to do an upgrade from my Yosemite by cloning the second partition to the first and then do the el capitan install. Inatall seem to have been completed abu now unable to boot to hdd to complete install. What am I missing? I am getting KPs and the a quick reboot so I am not able to see what is causing the KP. Coming from Yosemite are there some kexts that need to be deleted from S/L/E or from my EXTRA folder? Also I can only use Clover with the boot flag "nv_disable=1" anything else or nothing at all and I get a black screen but I can see HDD activity still going. What proper guide to follow? I know I will need single bootloader to allow switching from 1 ver to the next. Having problem with clover for the Yosemite and Mavericks, is it only Enoc's bootloader will work since Yand M were installed with Chameleon? I know it seems like a lot od questions but it is just that I am now totally confused. I have been that way before and you guys helped me out. Please I need help again. Bigdog1
  5. Jake thank you so much for the audio tip. I think I now have EVERYTHING working. Some of the stuff I have not checked or verified such as HDMI out, nor have I checked on the sleep situation. I am just so happy to FINALLY have a fully working hackintosh. I am going to enjoy this milestone for a moment and then move on to get Yosemite on another partition that I created on the drive. I must say though that I could not have done the abobe with out the help of this site. More donations are in order and I will do that right away. Please link me to the donation page. anyway just 2 more questions and these are asking your professional opinion: 1. Since I have windows 10 on another drive on this machine, how do I work with keeping "optimus" enabled in the BIOS? 2. Since I am trying to dual boot, can I or should I update the BIOS to a higher version.
  6. well good people I am back to give and update and ask a few questions. I have tried to follow all the quires provided and all the tips suggested and this is where I am right now. I have Mavericks installed and it seem to be doing fine. Almost everything is working. I boot with flag "GraphicsEnabler=No". I need this so that my Nvidia card works and some how this is the only way I can get my USB ports to show "3.0" in my system report. I am still at bios v13 and I have no artifacts. I was not able to get a patched DSDT but things seem to be working with one from Jake Lo's guide. My problem at this time is SOUND. I would like to use HDMI audio or whatever is linked to the Nvidia card. I was specific in my purchase of this unit to get the Nvidia board. My unit came with a regular screen but I have since then upgraded it to a 1600x900 one from e-bay for $45.00. What files/kexts do I need to install or what guide do I need to follow to get the sound working? Also I have removed the dell bluetooth module since I installed the wi-fi/bt card from broadcom. Should I have done that? I really just wanted to see if the combo card was really working. Oh BTW my wifi card is working fine with wireless ac on the 5G band. Please I am thankful for all the support that I have received and look forward to any additional help
  7. Thank you for your reply. I am about to request a patched DSDT but in the mean time have a question. I can understand if you are using a premade DSDT patching might be needed to include your unique pieces to the mix. however if I can create a new one from the machine why do I still need it to be "patched"? Is it because it is being generated from the cpu and not the MB itself so not able to detect the perfs attached to it? I have been reading about patching DSDT but as of now I am not getting it. Can some one help me out? Next I have tried using maciASL and it seems very confusing (maybe because I am SOOO LOST!) I cannot make head or tail of it. Is the chameleon wizard so outdated that it cannot be used? It seems to have a much simpler interface though I can't find anyplace to do the patching.
  8. First off I would like to say thanks to EVERYONE involved in the creating and maintaining of this site. I have learned a lot and now this this my main site for anything to do with Dell and mac OS. I have with great pride and detail followed Jake Lo instructions in getting Mavericks Installed on my E6430 with the specs found in my Signature. With such GREAT instruction I was able to get ALMOST everything up and running. Here are my problem areas and I am here with my first post looking for help. As per Jake Lo, his setup has everything working. We both have the SAME setup and using his files and instructions I thought all would be well. Well I have no sound. I do not know if HDMI works (never checked it), and most of all I cannot boot using the included DSDT. If I try to use it I get a KP with this in the message "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext". If I remove the DSDT I am able to boot up but I do not know what is missing or whether that is why my sound is not working. I also have some screen flickering going on with safari when i am on a web page and move the mouse on the page. I do not have a problem if I am not on a page. I do not know anything about editing the DSDT file. I need some help. Can anyone help with the sound
