I have been on the lookout too for a trackpad driver and even compiled my own from refined alps touchpad thread. However, nons is working well. They are either no response at all or loses response after waking from sleep

Dear e7470 users, what nvme SSD do you use and how many lanes are you running on? I have ADATA SX8200PNP but it's only running on x2 lanes. Any ideas how I can put it to x4 lanes?

I managed to get trackpad working now after changing to your e7470 boot pack (previously using e7270). my device doesn't have the trackpoint physically. i think my variant is not the common one. However, i found this person also made a version of the refined alps kext, although it doesn't work on my machine, you may want to try: https://github.com/1Revenger1/VoodooPS2-Alps

 

thank you! i also noticed that the trackpad doesn't work, could it be i don't have a trackpoint? i also noticed applePS2 and voodooPS2 coexist in the kext folder. is applePS2 not used?

i managed to use -igfxvesa to bypass the system set up. Then i changed platform-id to 0x19260000. what did you use originally?

the system is already installed. the process was smooth. I am at first boot where i am suppose to set up the country and region, user name and etc. I reverted it back to your default. Yet, i have iris plus 540 and i think you had 520. Would it be possible if you use Hackintool to patch the buffer frame for iris plus 540 for me?

i tried booting while holding "Shift" and it seems i get kernel panic due to graphics. 

I think it may have been the wrong iGPU. Would it be possible if you can help me change the graphics selection to iris plus 540 via Hackintool? I don't own a mac and i don't think my manual change is correct.

I see <key>pci-aspm-default<key> already set to integer 0. i tried disabling the card in Bios and physically removing it but the problem persists. Can you enlighten me why do you think it is DW1820A issue?

which patch are you referring to?

 

i see the config in the boot pack already have PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1c,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) to dw1820a? I didn't change anything from the bootpack except "scanpolicy"

I used the latest OC bootpack from tutorial to install Big Sur. Everything went smooth until it's time for me to set up the system. The device hangs at the Select Country and Region screen. Could it be my graphic card is iris plus 540?

i tried changing AAPL,ig-platform-id, but issue persists. I searched and searched, couldn't find an answer. I had Catalina running no issue before.

dw1820a

 

It ran Catalina without issue.

can you check this thread and try the outdated kexts? I have been trying to get this to work too.

@biscate, I think my USB is fine. Upon running" show log | grep ALPS", all I have is error.

 

@Jake Lo, Tried all of them only one worked is the R6B10Fixed. All others, including one from Bronxteck won't register touchpad at all. I took source code and tried to compile myself, only to result even worse. My version fails both touchpad and keyboard.

I recently discovered that my E7470 Catalina's battery indicator is faulty. If I reboot while on battery, the battery will always drop to 6% after a minute from boot despite I still have much charge left. I am using VirtualSMC and SMCBatteryManager. Does anyone else have this problem?

I can also confirm DW1820A works for E7470.
