Joost Blok
First Hackintosh laptop so please bear with me. I exactly followed Jake Lo's High Sierra guide and added the clover settings, generic EFI and used the E5550_A15.zip bootpack. I also updated all the kexts to the latest version (otherwise I got a KP). However, now my system is stuck on a fakeSMC initializer. I have uploaded a photo of where it hangs and my EFI.zip any help is greatly appreciated. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-clover-guide/ EFI.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 16, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 16, 2018 Try replacing with this Config. Rename it to Config.plist config-HS.plist
Joost Blok
Okay so if I run it without any changes it hangs when connecting pci devices. If I run it with npci=0x3000 debug=0x100 it goes into a Kernel Panic due to the AppleIntelBDMGraphicsFramebuffer, I included a screenshot with the error. Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 16, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 16, 2018 Okay some information has been truncated / missing due to our migration. It should have include information for setting DVMT for system above Haswell. In your case, Broadwell, needs to to set in the BIOS DVMT Prealloc.. see here OR use IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup.kext + Lilu.kext Add IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup.kext to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other https://github.com/vit9696/Lilu/blob/master/KnownPlugins.md https://github.com/BarbaraPalvin/IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup/releases
Joost Blok
Hey Jake that seemed to fix that issue however now I'm getting a kernel panic from CPU 0 Caller.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 17, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2018 Boot to Clover GUI. Hit F4 on the keyboard. Now compress and attach the Clover folder here for review
Joost Blok
The F4 Method apparently doesn't work for me haha. But here you go! And thanks so much already for helping me out! EFI.zip
Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 17, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 17, 2018 if F4 did not dump your EFI then your EFI might be formatted wrong. it should be FAT partition format not guid.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 17, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 17, 2018 F4 did extract the files to Origin but one of the SSDT is corrupted. Probably give it a couple of seconds to fully extract. Go to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin, clear the folder. Reboot it and hit F4 again. Compress and attach only the Origin folder here Is A15 the latest? If you plan on upgrading to the latest BIOS, do so first before sending me the Origin folder.
Joost Blok
I used diskutil terminal command to erase the disk to a Journaled HFS+ partition with GPT: diskutil erasedisk jhfs+ Hackintosher gpt /dev/disk1 It erased it with those parameters then I used: sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Hackintosher --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction After that I installed using clover and Jake Lo's High Sierra guide . Updated my BIOS to A19. Extracted the clover folder using F4 (gave it ~5 mins) origin.zip
