Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 29, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 29, 2018 Try disabling the MinStolen patch in Config file and add IntelGraphicsDVMTFixup.kext to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other
mushang98
Hi, I did that. Although I have CoreDisplayFixup, after MinStolen is disabled, internal display stops working. Never happened that way before. Update: display works either with MinStolen patch enabled or disabled. But putting DVMT kext causes the display to stop working (not detected)
Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 30, 2018 I guess you have set the minimum 64mb in the BIOS then...so no patch or DVMT kext are needed
mushang98
Well, that's where the bad news came. Dell doesn't give me the option to change DVMT from bios. But I've not tried thinkering the EFI shell since I read someone bricked his laptop by doing so.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 30, 2018 Ok, then better not tinker with the BIOS. If minStolen patch is not needed or DVMT kext, then don't use them. Will you still have graphics fully?
mushang98
Yes I will. with both patch disabled. I still get the full graphics. OK. I removed them all.
