Nathan Knowles
Are there any guides for the i7 model of the E6320? (the i7-2640M one) I would prefer El Capitan or above. Thanks in advance, Nathan.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 13, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 13, 2018 You can use the E6220 guide / bootpack. Check out my Clover guide here Bootpack for E6220 is on the second post. If you want later version of OS X, you should be able to find newer bootpack in the various thread under the E6xxx section. You'll need to know the display resolution so you could find the correct bootpack. Wrong bootpack will leave your display showing double or scrambled. Administrators Hervé Posted July 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 16, 2018 Sierra 10.12.6 it would seem... Screenshot shows -x boot flag anc CPU panic. Was safe mode desired and was AICPUPM patch activated?
Nathan Knowles
Okay so I reinstalled Clover and it strangely started working...but I have one more issue I have everything working perfectly except one thing...I can't boot from the hard drive at all I have installed Clover and added the bootpack but Clover doesn't even get recognised by the computer, it just hangs on the blinking cursor (just a flashing _ in the corner) This is really frustrating because everything is working amazing except this one issue. I don't think its an issue with the bootloader because I am using the exact same EFI files as for the USB and that boots perfectly (I am having to use the USB to access Sierra), it is just from the hard drive that it won't boot. Please help me, Nathan.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 17, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 17, 2018 You need to set BIOS to Legacy, has issue with UEFI Then make sure to install Clover in Legacy mode
Nathan Knowles
@Jake Lo I have done both of them, it is set to legacy and I installed Clover r4586 with the settings suggested in the guide you made.
