Administrators Bronxteck Posted July 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 23, 2018 nope you would be the first one here. they just added graphics support to clover 6 days ago so you will need clover revision 4606 or higher at minimum, lilu.kext and whatevergreen.kext compiled from source within the last 5 days they added support for faking coffee as kaby you will probably have to look at some sort of DVMT editing or patching. plus your standard laptop issues like back light, audio, WiFi, bt, track pad/keyboard (these might be on an i2c bus) sleep/wake/shutdown, power management. quartz38
Hi Bronxteck, Thanks for your answer, i just started to work on this. I managed to boot it with clover but after 3 months practice about patching, i have not understood yet what are the mandatory patchs to apply on origin files (got with Clover F4) as quoted in your message "plus your standard laptop issues like back light, audio, WiFi, bt, track pad/keyboard (these might be on an i2c bus) sleep/wake/shutdown, power management" I applied patchs in clover boot (no acpi patching) but for example, to have trackpad running need to patch DSDT file, and i would like to apply the patchs in clover directly in acpi. I can attach Origin folder if needed. Many thanks for help

Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 24, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 24, 2018 can you post IOReg file? Need to determine how to patch for your I2C Touchpad
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 25, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2018 I'll just take a guess for the I2C. Replace the attached contents into /EFI/Clover You can attach the IOReg of before and after updating the files 5590_I2C.zip

quartz38
Good news Jake, Trackpad is working great !! I just lose sound and I had to put back some files in clover/kext folder to make it work I will look which ones are mandatory. Your patched acpi files work, nice job. In monitor preferences, slider is not present. I am quite sure I saw it working.... so many manipulations, I can't remember what was done. Here are ioreg files. Thanks for all 5590_after.ioreg 5590_before.ioreg
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 25, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2018 Only kext I took out of clover kext is Shiki.kext which is now bundled into whatevergreen.kext, so that should not have any side effect. Probably need to repair permissions and rebuild cache. Post debug files
