badpassion
hi friends, I own a Dell Inspiron 5570 and I changed the wifi with a DW1830 but the connectors of the antennas are not the same. Did you have the same problem? Have you changed the antennas?
Administrators Bronxteck Posted December 11, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 11, 2018 the DW1830 antenna connectors are MHF4 and if you had the intel AC-3165 it should also have the same antenna connector. you can look up the card you had previously in the machine if it was not the intel 3165 on that wiki dev site. badpassion
Qualcomm DW1810 I have to change antennas?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2018 They both use the same connector except DW1830 needs 3. You can do without the 3rd. Just connect the white and black, leave out the gray.
badpassion
strange that I can not insert them, they are ruined with the removal of the qualcom card..
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2018 If you have stretched out the connectors, you could try carefully bend it back to shape. These things are really fragile, so you have to be really careful with them

Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2018 Looks like you had yanked the connectors off of the Wifi. You can try carefully prying it off the the antenna and then put in the new DW1830. I do mean carefully snap in the antennas
