philstopford
I couldn't figure out where to post this, so hopefully this is close to the correct place. Looking at the installed Clover version (4910), the efi drivers have -64 behind them. I was wondering whether the drivers from (https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleSupportPkg/releases) might help with the FileVault LoginWindow being missing, but those lack the -64 in the name and make me uncertain about whether this is the right thing to do. Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 8, 2019 Administrators Share Posted April 8, 2019 they should be ok to try but try them from usb first just in case or at least have a way to recover your current install.
philstopford
To come back to this, I'm still confused about how the update should be applied. Given an existing EFI driver with -64 in the name, and the supposed update that misses the -64, is the best approach to have both drivers side-by-side, or should the replacement driver be renamed to match (or can I simply remove the -64 driver and put the old one in place). It looks like the -64 is a Clover convention, but not perhaps something that is used upstream. I'm puzzled.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 16, 2019 Administrators Share Posted May 16, 2019 -64 is just a leftover from when clover was 32 bit compatible so it is just a naming convention means nothing any more. as long as the file name ends in .efi you should be good.
