Tubardus
Hourra! It worked as soon as I replaced the previous Kext in my EFI and rebooted. I'm so happy! Should I run anyway the commands you just showed me? Thanks!

Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 16, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2019 do me a favor, can you test something for me? Right now you should be able to control brightness with Fn+F11 and Fn+12 using included DSDT.aml Can you test the following by removing DSDT.aml and add the attached SSDT-BRT6.aml to the patched folder Replace the Config file with the attached. Reboot and see if you there's any lost of function to the Fn+F11 and Fn+F12 keys for Brightness. Fn+F1, Fn+F2, Fn+F3 should still works as Audio controls. No other changes made 7490_BrightnessFnKeys.zip

Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 17, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2019 1) Hervé has a full guide here, you should go through the whole thread before considering it. I won't recommend it unless you have time and money to spend 2) Not supported. See here for dynamic list of supported / unsupported list My recommendations are DW1560 or DW1830. Tubardus
Hello, I did what you asked and it works fine. I can control the brightness with Fn F11 and F12 as in the previous configuration. Should I go back with the previous settings?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 18, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2019 No, with the DSDT configuration, it's BIOS dependent and may cause issue if you upgrade or downgrade your BIOS. With the new files, it's not since it's hot patched. Thanks for confirming the new files.
