acquarius.13
It seems to me a problem with I2C SSDT patching. Can you guys give me an hand? I'm not understanding properly all the stuff. I just found that my I2C device has this bios name \_SB.PCI0.I2C1.TPD0
Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted June 15, 2020 Are you sure? It's either \_SB.PCI0.I2C1.TPD1 or \_SB.PCI0.I2C0.TPD0. Never seem \_SB.PCI0.I2C1.TPD0
acquarius.13
Quite sure. The "Dispositivo HID I2C" is the only one which has a BIOS name. The "Synaptics HID Device" and "Touch pad conforme a HID" both don't have a BIOS name. Father of all of them is SYNA3063
Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted June 15, 2020 Ok, try this, replace your SSDT-4x0G4k.aml with that attached. Leave the other SSDT*.aml as is Then add VoodooI2C + VoodooI2CHID to kexts/Other SSDT-4x0-G5.aml.zip
acquarius.13
Thanks Jake, but unfortunately the result is this one. I tried just putting the file in ACPI/patched and also forcing dropping during clover boot. Some questions: 1. Should I remove any onther VoodooPS2 kext? I still have it for keyboard (I deleted the mouse and trackpad parts) 2. Should I disable the ACPI hotpatch _DSM to XDSM? Any other suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks again a lot
Moderators Jake Lo Posted June 16, 2020 Moderators Share Posted June 16, 2020 You can try blocking all VoodooPS2Controller during boot and have an USB keyboard/mouse handy.
acquarius.13
It's more or less the same. If you don't have any other idea, it's ok. You guys have so much to do with so many of us that not all the issues can be solved. I suppose this can be one of those cases. But, truly, I really appreciate all the efforts made. Thanks again! acquarius.13
Hi @Jake Lo! I asked an hand to maldon (from insanely and olarila) to patch the new DSDT. Currently, I have a custom DSDT with basically no hotpatches. But I will have a look in any case and report the result Many thanks!
acquarius.13
Hi @Jake Lo! I confirm that using that patched dsdt you posted on the other topic works also for my probook 450 G5! Well done!
