Dell Inspiron 5584 (UHD 620 graphics): Help required to install Catalina

Recommended Posts

I replaced AptioMemoryFix.efi with OsxAptioFix3Drv.efi. This pushed me to install where it reboots again. Still noticed that when erasing the partition there was no choice of guid. Also reboots already at the stage of erasing the disk during reinstallation

When you are at disk utility to format the drive, on top left under view, select Show All Devices. Then you can select the root of the drive to format/ not partition.

It loads with a lot of errors and reboots when formatting. By the way, I have built-in Wi-Fi and BT, and so far I'm not going to change it. I also have 16GB of RAM 8 + 8. There is no HDD, only samsung NVMe M2 SSD

I see you have an NVMe SAMSUNG MZVLB256HAHQ-000L7 aka PM981 which is known to be unsupported in MacOS. You'll need to replace the drive.

I managed to install. There is no sound and the cooler is constantly making noise. As well as black frames on the display. What are my next steps?

Replace your Clover files with the one linked in the 2nd post.

It should add audio and graphics acceleration
