Tergazzi
Hi everyone, I have been scouring for a resolution to this trackpad not working issue and some of the promising posts the attachments were unavailable. I am running Catalina with OpenCore. I have the voodooI2C kext and the DDST but it still isnt working. Not sure if I am missing something in my config.plist or what. If someone could take a look and point me in the right direction it would be appreciated, thanks. EFI.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 5, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2020 I don't see VoodooI2C + VoodooI2CHID anywhere in your files

Tergazzi
Sorry i think i uploaded my original EFI before i added them. Here is the correct one. I will add what you provided to my EFI and see if it works as well. 5480 EFI_Current.zip
Tungmeister
@Jake LoI've used the above ACPI patches on my 5480 and it's got the trackpad working under Big Sur however it's showing up as a mouse rather than magic trackpad with only 2 finger gesture working - is it a limitation of my trackpad or can I do anything to get it going? my touchscreen is being emulated as a magic trackpad - could that be causing issues? Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 5, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2020 @Tungmeister That's correct. There's no real support for Dell's Alps I2C touchpad. Getting simple movements: 2 fingers scrolling, 2 finger righclick.
Tergazzi
@Jake Lo I added the kexts and ssdt and replaced config file and it fixed the trackpad but broke the keyboard... lol I reverted everything back so i have keyboard again but no trackpad using my original EFI and config.plist. I also just realized my audio does not work
