Skullster
Yeah its pretty annoying as, on the whole, I would have the screen turn off after a couple of minutes to save some power. It makes it hard to tell if sleep works as If I sleep the screen will not return anyway.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted July 17, 2012 Administrators Share Posted July 17, 2012 d620 nvidia has nvs110m /go 7300 the black screen is a known issue with 7xxx cards and the driver. from what i understand switching the resolution wakes it back up but kinda hard to do it as you cant see it. if you close the lid and open it it should wake the screen. now on d620 GMA you need to add a system bios password, there is also an option in bios to tell it to bypass passcode from wake from sleep. Administrators Hervé Posted July 17, 2012 Administrators Share Posted July 17, 2012 Indeed, you can recover from black screen by putting the D620 to sleep (close lid or press Fn-ESC) and then wake it up. The other problem with this black screen thingy is that it won't let the computer go to sleep automatically. It seems to hold that feature.
