samgooi4189
Ok, after setting BIOS password, can I removed it afterward? (if I want to flash my BIOS)
Administrators Hervé Posted July 24, 2012 Administrators Share Posted July 24, 2012 You can clear the BIOS password by replacing it by a blank one. That'll remove the password. Meantime, you can also configure your BIOS to bypass the password on reboot/wake, that'll save you from entering the password all the time. samgooi4189
How to do that?? After I set the system password, I will always need to type in the password before getting into boot (from cold boot). Is there anyway that I could bypass that? Administrators Bronxteck Posted July 24, 2012 Administrators Share Posted July 24, 2012 sorry no not on the d620 gma. if you want sleep it needs a password check the tweak section in the menu bar for instructions while you in the bios tell it to bypass wake password. samgooi4189
OK, since this is the only way to get Sleep work, I will set a system password on it. Hope something will be build to enable sleep without setting system password in the future.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted July 25, 2012 Administrators Share Posted July 25, 2012 nope there wont be as this has been an issue for 6 years, it seems to be a bios limitation? only fix for it is to get a different computer model that does not require the password. we have nothing to do with either.
