ra0ul
Hi: I am ordering a Broadcom PCI-e card for my D630 from eBay. Will a Broadcom BCM4321 REV 0A work. Do I need different codes? Thanks
ra0ul
I finally have the card. Does the Rev version make a difference? Mine is a REV 0A? The instructions reference REV 3.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 12, 2012 Administrators Share Posted October 12, 2012 Just stick it in. You'll see soon enough it it works or not...
ra0ul
Success! The card actually is Ver 5. Used the subv/supb for BCM4321 AGN ver 3 without difficulty. Thanks,
ra0ul
Hooked up and running I have only 150 transmit rate max from Wireless N source Tried switching antennas; I have three however (white, black and gray) and only two contacts on the card. Which two and what positions are optimal? Thanks,
Darvinko
Gray is not used. White and Black are used, usually connected above the respective arrows on the label (Usually the black gets attached above the solid black arrow and the white lead above the white arrow (outlined with black)). Some have reported better results switching the two. As for transmit speed, 150 MB/s is maximum for a 2.4 GHz router at N speed. A 5 GHz N speed router is capable of 300 MB/s. 31337swv
Hi! My rebranded BCM4321 is almost working on Yosemite. Only Wifi is working... What can be the reason off not seeing BT on system? BR 31337swv
Administrators Hervé Posted March 9, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 9, 2015 The Yosemite Bluetooth kexts needing patching with the PCI ids of your card maybe?
31337swv
The Yosemite Bluetooth kexts needing patching with the PCI ids of your card maybe? I did that, (hope in proper way). But still in DPCIManager i cannot see any BT device... I can see my BCM4321 802.11a/b/g/n as: Vendor: 14e4, Device: 4328, Subv: 106b, Subd: 008b. Administrators Hervé Posted March 10, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 10, 2015 BT devices are usually reported as USB hardware, so never listed in DPCIManager or lspci output... Check your SysProfiler.
