Askari
I've been trying to install Mountain Lion on my D630 for almost 2 weeks now. I can't get beyond the "PCI Configuration Begin" message. I've booted with -v. I've also edited the Chameleon.plist and changed the graphics enabler to NO. Is there a special command that I need to type in terminal to get ML to install on my system? Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 17, 2012 Administrators Share Posted November 17, 2012 Hi, please provide the specifications of your D630 and make sure you don't have any incompatible HW like an Intel Wifi card. Once it's established you're starting from a sound base, I'd suggest you boot your installer with option: USBBusFix=No

Askari
I truly appreciate the responses Bronxteck and Herve'. I have a D630 with core 2 duo processor and nvidia gpu. Wi-fi card is a BCM94321MC. As far as, "npci=0x2000 -v -f", am I suppose to edit the chameleon.boot.plist? Thanks again.
Askari
I added npci=0x2000 -v -f to kernel flags in Chameleon.boot.plist and still stuck at PCI configuration begin. Thanks in advance.
Askari
I forgot to mention that I'm using Herve's Bios Settings-D630 from the D6XX section. Was I suppose to apply these bios settings after OS X was installed or is it okay to change the bios before the OS X installation?
Askari
Thanks for your help guys. I figured the problem out. I used Seb's PCI Configuration Begin fix from his D630 OS X Lion Install Guide. I was able to install Mountain Lion on 2 different d630's with his guide. Thanks again.
