Andrey2004
Hello! Can you please help me? I find it impossible to install it. Laptop have Intel, I've renamed Config-IntelWifi to Config.plist. I'm trying to install Sonoma 14.3.1. However, unfortunately I get a lot of issues when loading. And the system freezes. Administrators Hervé Posted February 11 Administrators Share Posted February 11 What make and model of SSD do you have in that laptop?
Andrey2004
I used Samsung SSD 2,5" (model: ST1000LM024) I made all points from Manual, from forum, step by step. And when installing, the laptop was overloaded several times, but the installation process did not show off, showing the remaining time. And then during the load of OS begin showing issues. Before I tried install Ventura 13.6 on this laptop - and all was successfully. Hardware in the laptop - ok, I'm sure. Perhaps there is a way to record a log file when loading open core? I badly understand how to do Opencore EFI for macOS
Administrators Hervé Posted February 11 Administrators Share Posted February 11 I don't know the difference between your 820 G3 model and the 840 G3 but the bootpack you use is for the 840 G3. Maybe the SSDTs do not entirely apply to the 820 model. I've noticed that the device properties in Jake Lo's bootpack add a 4th video output port. This is possibly unnecessary or irrelevant to the 820 G3. You may also want to use KBL framebuffer 0x56160000 and device id 0x5916 rather then the values of the bootpack. Andrey2004
I think, the difference between 820 G3 and 840 G3 is only in the size display: 820 - 12.5" 840 - 14" Can you share your System Report from HP 840 G3 with Sonoma? I want to compare with your hardware with me. Thanks)
