sojab0on
Hi I got my hands on a latitude 7370 with the m5 6y57 8gb ram a full HD non touch screen and 4g sierra wireless card as with intel wifi and bluetooth combo card. When I tried to boot a mojave installer and some opencore efi packs I found in the archive section. also did the var 0x432 0x3 for the bios but with intel card active in bios it give those strange intel fw error and panics with out them active the panic is on a lilu file issue do I need to recreate a mojave installer without the Mojave patcher any help would be appreciated
Administrators Hervé Posted July 17 Administrators Share Posted July 17 Best thing for you to do at this point of time would be to post your OpenCore EFI details (zip archive containing config file + kexts folder). Intel m5-6y57 is Skylake and therefore natively supported from OS X 10.15 El Capitan 10.15 to macOS 12 Monterey; as such, no need for a patcher of any kind on this platform. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/2998-platforms-compatibility-requirements-for-os-xmacos/#comment-121679
sojab0on
i tried multiple but i cant upload more then 19MB per post Will post in 2 posts this has 2 oc packages one was named it was fix the other was a first package of someone in archive Archief.7z This is the 3rd one i found it on a search for the device name and osx , still have to test it if anything is needed I can get that from the device i might need a dedicated intel config mine has the intel wifi and bleutooth chipset And in simple checking big sur, should be the highest supported due to the igpu the 515 or can this guide https://elitemacx86.com/threads/how-to-enable-intel-skylake-graphics-intel-hd-graphics-515-520-530-540-550-and-580-on-macos-sonoma-and-later.1259/#google_vignette help with getting it to work in OC with sonoma 7370_OC_063.7z Edited July 18 by sojab0on question about gpu and max version supported
Administrators Hervé Posted July 18 Administrators Share Posted July 18 The Clover config you posted is a mess with all sorts of ACPI patches, binary patches and nVidia + ATI injections. Haven't had the time yet to look at the OC folder you posted. It looks like you grabbed your EFI folders from this thread, in which case you have everything you need to succeed. But it was for Big Sur, not Mojave... With regards to highest supported macOS version, you're wrong. SKL graphics, including HD 515, is officially fully and natively supported up to Monterey. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8238-supportedunsupported-gpus-graphics-cards https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-m5-1.2-12-early-2016-specs.html In Ventura, Sonoma, SKL graphics are supported by faking/using KBL graphics. all details in the above thread. sojab0on
Ah okay, these configs i got from Jake Lo in a archived post on this laptop from this site. Yes the came from that link indeed , is that where I made the mistake taking a big sur instead of mojave found another on github witch I don't even dare to test oud. will only post the config .plist file next time mojave is the os I want to test on it later on when it runs correctly I can always make Monterey installer if I want later thanks for helping

Administrators Hervé Posted July 18 Administrators Share Posted July 18 Mojave really is of no particular interest today. Catalina was probably a better version if you want to run an unsupported pre-Big Sur version.

Administrators Hervé Posted July 19 Administrators Share Posted July 19 You've got all you need for macOS Big Sur. Why don't you start with that?
