nick.XIII
I haven't installed any I don't think. Unless EDP or the myHack installer puts one in. The battery stuff worked fine when running off a unmodified install, but as I stated in my original post, alot of other things didn't work
Administrators Hervé Posted June 12, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 Look in your /E/E folder. There's no battery management prior to EDP system build as far as I remember.
nick.XIII
I have NullCPUPowermanagement?
Administrators Hervé Posted June 12, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2013 That does not sound like battery management, does it? Without Apple or Voodoo battery management, you'll have nothing... That would be taken care of by an EDP system build.
nick.XIII
Well, my last attempt at using EDP failed. Had to repair my install and re update, trying again and I get the error:"The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/myHack.kext/Contents/Plugins/lspcidrv/kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update." Should I continue with the install and restart, or should I fix something before I restart. Last time this happened, the computer refused to boot.
Administrators Hervé Posted June 13, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 13, 2013 Mmm, I'll try a new SL installation on my D430 with an external USB HDD and will let you know the outcome.

nick.XIII
try deleting lspcidrv from extra and running myfix again.... The only ones I have are in /Extra/storage/standard/lion/Extensions/ and /Extra/storage/standard/ml/Extensions/
nick.XIII
OK, well, I went ahead and restarted anyway. It boots fine and, as far as I can tell, runs correctly. I now have sound, proper brightness controls and resolution, and the battery shows up with stats. So with all that said, is lspcidrv a critical kext? Administrators Bronxteck Posted June 14, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 14, 2013 nope not critical at all..... it's for doing an lspci in terminal to see your hardware info. you wont miss it truly.
