serpao
Hi all. First of all, thanks in advance. Im completely new in this world called "hackintosh". the problem comes when i dont know anything, and im non-stop reading. I dont find the DSDT of m4400, for example, something that is pretty basic. I dont know how to solve the incoming problems, some ppl says "multib***" , others "kext wizard" , ...is changing everytime. So if u could provide me some info , i would be really pleased with you. Thanks in advance, serpao EDIT: my spec are: dell m4400 nvidia fx770m 4 Ram dell wireless 1510 I think are the important ones
serpao
Ok, i did something already. I used myHack to make the usb. I took an "extra" folder from forum (in theory, works perfectly on m4400). I initialised, selected language, and installation started. After that, everything is ok, but the last minute. It tells me an Error,Ml could have not been installed. It says something about it was imposible access to hdd to continue the instalation, or so. The only option avaiable is "restart". I restart and again boot from usb, so again try install all. Someone can help me? Thanks in advance
Administrators Hervé Posted October 8, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 8, 2013 You really should use the Search facility of the forum and read about Hackintoshing and installing ML throughout the forum and web site. You'd have found out that you can ignore this "installation failed" message and let your system reboot straight into ML! There's no need to reinstall! serpao
Yes sorry, i realised later. Now i finished perfectly, but have some issues. My graphic card is obviously not working well, for example mission control shows reaaaaaallly slowly. So, anyone could provide me any help/driver to get the best of it? Thanks
Administrators Hervé Posted October 8, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 8, 2013 Open up a Terminal window and post us the result of the lspci -nn command. You might need to patch the nVidia kext to support your particular card. I see no reason why it would not be supported, being based on the 9600M chip: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Quadro-FX-770M.11707.0.html Are you booting with option GraphicsEnabler=Yes ? Administrators Hervé Posted October 9, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks for your patience Sergio. It paid off for your system and we're now in a position to integrate this M4400 model (Core2Duo, nVidia FX 770M) to EDP. You're running with the DSDT of an E6400 (that I just modified for cosmetic benefits), so it would be much better to extract DSDT + SSDT tabled from Windows using Dinesh's documented process so that we have the best possible tables at our disposal. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1945-dsdtssdt-patching/ We just need to confirm operational status of webcam and card reader. serpao
Im here again. I just did something bad, trying to solve things. Im not enough experienced , i guess. My problema was: i had C: Windows 190 gbs // D: mac 100 gbs. I wanted Mac with a lot more gbs, since Windows i only wanted for some applications, nothing more. After think a lot, i said myself: " I can re-install Windows in C, formating C before. After that, with the Windows disk utility, i can reduce the size a lot, then ill have Windows with 50 gbs + other partition + mac partition. Then i could join both partitions (the new one+mac) to make a higher mac one." Well, i did it..., i installed Windows in C, i reduced the C size a lot. When i went to boot mac... it doesnt exist. Windows boot automatically, no options to boot mac. What i did wrong, and what can i do?
Administrators Hervé Posted October 10, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 10, 2013 You did change the active partition with diskpart tool, didn't you? If you set the Win partition (#2) active, set back Mac partition (#3) active. If that does not work, boot off your USB installer and then select your HDD Mac partition. Once in Mac OS X, reinstall Chameleon with Cham Wizard.
