trafsta
If you can dump all of your unmodified acpi tables from linux or windows i'll patch your DSDT + SSDT. PM me if so. Sure, I can do that - right after I figure out how I'll hunt around the forums for instructions (I recall seeing them around somewhere once a while back) Edit: Found instructions @ https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1224-e6520/page-2&do=findComment&comment=11239 . If I have some time I'll try them tonight.
trafsta
Tested out the instructions above at work on a E6400, works well (Ubuntu Live USB). Question though: I do not yet have the non-intel wifi card in the E6220. Should I wait until I receive it (few more weeks till it arrives - bought from eBay) or does it not matter for what you are going to do for me? Also, I later found this forum post: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1945-dsdtssdt-patching/ Should I be using these instructions instead? They seem different than the post above (more complex)
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 23, 2013 Yes, use this one to export both DSDT and SSDT files.
trafsta
Ok will do. Does it matter that I still have an Intel wifi card (which obviously does not work) in the E6220? Should I wait until the supported Wifi card arrives in the mail?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 23, 2013 Which card did you order? Some require patching DSDT and kext, some work OTB.

trafsta
Cool thanks. One more question related to your signature; What does 'rebranding' your DW1510 do? Does it simply make it NOT show up as a third-party wireless device? Edit: nevermind, just saw https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2652-e6430-mavericks-109-dp1-successfully-installed/&do=findComment&comment=20309 and https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2504-installing-ml-on-dell-e6530/?hl=%2Bdw1510+%2Brebrand&do=findComment&comment=18850 and subsequently http://www.osxlatitude.com/rebranding-broadcom-802-11abgn-cards-as-airport-extreme/

daspazz
10.8.5 loaded up fully on my E6220 without any issues whatsoever. Not sure what is up with that AppleIntelCPUPowerMangement in 10.9. I'm up for additional suggestions... I'm learning as I go and enjoying it (sorry for frustrating you a little yesterday Hervé You also have to install the chameleon to your boot volume MACHD? or you will never boot. Try getting a copy of chameleon wizard and put it in a directory on your USB drive, then if you can boot off the USB drive but boot to your MACHD install Chameleon Wizard to your applications folder (copy) and run it then install the Chameleon boot to your MACHD.
