jklumker
I finally got Hazards SL installed on my Dell D620. I only selected a boot loader in options. But I could only boot in safe mode with one core enabled. So I updated to 10.6.7 hoping that would help. It didn't. Now I have the same problems PLUS my display went black. So now I am using an external display. I suspect a kext is a problem but I don't know which to add and which are safe to remove. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 31, 2011 Administrators Share Posted March 31, 2011 hazard install modifies alot of system kexts and also mach_kernel so it is way to hard to troubleshoot. what we use is for a "vanilla" install. so you just might have to reinstall osx from a retail disc. jklumker
Retail disc is not an option atm. Thanks bronxteck. I realized I hadn't cleared my kext cache after updating to 10.6.7. I am very new to osx. Like a few hours. Now everything is fine except airport and GL but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I may be leaving my debian for good. Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 31, 2011 Administrators Share Posted March 31, 2011 you can try the dsdt in EDP for your laptop and see it that fixes you issue. or crc's bios that has the dsdt already injected
