Diceman
So I upgraded to EDP 1.8 and now my D430 won't boot. During verbose boot it hangs at "IOPCCard Info: Ricoh RL5C476 rev b4 PCI-to-CardBus phys mem 0x80100000 virt mem 0x344ae000" Ideas?
Administrators Leon Posted May 3, 2011 Administrators Share Posted May 3, 2011 Did you choose to install the pcmcia driver ?
Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 3, 2011 Administrators Share Posted May 3, 2011 just put a pcmcia card in the slot... in EDP when you choose pcmcia driver= yes it tells you you have to boot with the card inserted... and this is the reason why. not all models are affected but d4x0 are. I put one in and it lights up, but it still hangs at that point.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 4, 2011 Administrators Share Posted May 4, 2011 well does it still stop there in verbose with the card in... just another thought maybe try turning off pcmcia in your bios then run -v -x can als try it before changing bios settings, if it boots into snow rerun edp.
