ldp
Hi Everyone, I finally was able to fix my display related issues after loading with myhack & extra drivers. But, now i noticed there are no SOUND devices added. I am unable to play music or video. Do i need to install any additional software? i tried EDP (v5.3) & installed and reboot. I am novice & appreciate your help. Thanks LDP.
Administrators Hervé Posted January 28, 2014 Administrators Share Posted January 28, 2014 On the D630 X3100, use patched STAC9205 audio pack. On the D630 nVidia, use VoodooHDA audio pack. Both packs are available from EDP menu when you do your System Build. We have different DSDTs according to the model and VoodooHDA proves not to work on X3100 models. ldp
I downloaded the file, but not sure how to install it. I could not find an option in EDP to select the install/update option. I need more detailed instructions. Appreciate your help.
ldp
I downloaded Kext Wizard software and installed the 4 files (AppleHDA.kext, FakeSTAC9205.kext, IOAudioFamily.kext & OSvKernDSPLib.kext). Rebooted my laptop, still no sound.

Administrators Hervé Posted January 30, 2014 Administrators Share Posted January 30, 2014 As I said, the pack is available in EDP in the System Build options. Look in the kext tab.
ldp
Hi Herve, Thanks for the suggestion. I initially could not locate where is the build option. Now I was able to fix the Audio issues with my laptop. I guess i have everything running smoothly with my dell d630. Planning to install SSD 128gb on my laptop. I just took a clean USB image using myhack. Hope all the drivers load properly when i install. I still need lot of learning on MAC OS X. Thanks for all the help. LDP.
