I can't copy the file to the folder it's not there and I can view hidden folders but can't open them. I know this is a learning process but I wish OSX wasn't so complicated I'm trying to paste in the files but it's not working. Here's the correct path. Also fixed it in the guide. sudo chmod 755 /usr/libexec/airportd sudo chown 0:0 /usr/libexec/airportd xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/libexec/airportd As for the battery, what's the issue? It the battery not showing or status is wrong or only seeing an X? If you're seeing an X, try booting with -f to see if that fixes it. If so, then run myHack->myfix (quick), it usually is a caching issue.
GrandMstrBud
First 2 commands took not the 3rd. MacBook-Pro:~ Paul$ xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/libexec/airportd xattr: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/usr/libexec/airportd' On the battery you click show in status bar it clicks really quick then disappears and it stays at 0% all the time in this menu. Not sure why I can't upload a screen shot here but linked it to drop box

GrandMstrBud
I got the screen shot uploaded. Not sure on the battery and the WiFi command wouldn't go. I'm sure you could fix it in a few minutes, . Teamviewer Booting with -f flag does nothing for battery.

Remove AppleSmartBatteryManager and replace with this one. Run my fix and reboot. See if it makes a difference. GrandMstrBud
Have it running the fix now so I'll reboot after that. No the WiFi doesn't show up at all but bluetooth does. Battery is showing now, still no WiFi though. So I run the file, airportd, and then run the commands you gave me and that's it? The light for WiFi is also on and the switch is in the on position. With that one you sent me the sleep no longer works but I have battery percentage. Strange On a side note can this be updated to 10.9 or will that break everything? Better to get another card like that one I have DW1510. Works without any extra kexts for Mavericks and below.

GrandMstrBud
Yes the Dell DW1397 Half Mini PCIe If only it would work, I thought it was in the list of supported cards.
