Mircea
Specs: motherboard - ASUS P7H55-M Audio codec - ALC887 GPU - GeForce GTX 465 4GB Dual-DDR3 OSX 10.9 mavericks So can anyone tell me what do I need to install after the Extras on the myHack USB, to get the networking, sound, GPU acceleration and iMessage, iCloud and App Store working properly, as they should, that would be great. Basically if anyone could tell me what I need to do to have a nice stable hackintosh for these specs, I'd be really greatful! Thanks for your time, have a nice day. Administrators Hervé Posted April 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2014 Obviously iMessage, iCloud and AppStore are linked to Networking. These app usually require that your LAN interface is 1st in the list (en0 interface required to be 1st interface). Please post us the output of the lspci -nn Terminal command (needs lspcidrv kext loaded) so that we get a detailed and precise description of your hardware. Right now, we don't even know what NIC you have... Also list us the kexts you've placed in /Extra/Extensions (if this is where you've placed your add-on kexts of course). I assume that, after adding your bootpack (what you call "Extras") you did run a myFix (quick).
Mircea
My current network is 1st in the list already. Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2014 do you have nvram module in modules folder inside extra? if not use chameleon wizard app to add the module. also use chameleon in case your using tony boot loader. might need them for messaging also with chameleon wizard generate a serial number for your smbios. Mircea
I have the latest filenvram, installed before trying chameleon wizard. And now when In chameleon wizard, it is also checked in there, so I guess it is fine. I am using chameleon bootloader, and there's another strange problem. Everytime I try modifying something in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist, I save it, and then when I reboot and I get a black screen after the boot logo. I fix this by copying using the terminal from the myHack, the original boot.plist from the usb stick, but I am unable to edit anything in the boot plist because of this. I already have a smbios.plist built by chameleon wizard, with a random serial number, and still nothing, still unable to login on App Store :/
Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 19, 2014 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2014 have you tried booting into the my hack installer then using disk utility to repair your partition and permissions? that sounds like something is corrupted. Mircea
Everything's fine by Disk Utility... I even ran myFix and it is fine... I got the audio to work by installing the latest VoodooHDA, but still, no 5.1 surround sound, I can live with that though. The only major problem I am facing now is the inability to login onto iCloud and App Store...
Mircea
I managed to resolve the iCloud problem by checking the Ethernet Built-in option from Chameleon Wizard... Never thought it would be that simple, the problem with the black screen was because I was trying to patch the boot.plist with the string from EFI Studio. Now if anyone could help me setup my 5.1 surround sound, with VoodooHDA or AppleHDA, whichever works best, that would be great!
Mircea
Anyone? 5.1 on VoodooHDA?
