HOVLaneTM
Hello, I'm wondering if you guys could assist me in putting my Dell Latitude E5510 Hackintosh into full functionality? I've got the audio, keyboard, & mouse working... but that's about it. I'm really just needing the graphics so my resolution could be 1366x768 & the network to work. Please assist if you can. Regards. HOVLaneTM
Okay, thanks. Now, about the network? Will it work? I'm running OS X 10.7.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 3, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 3, 2014 Okay, thanks. Now, about the network? Will it work? I'm running OS X 10.7. Depends on what you have? If you have Intel Wireless, it's not supported and will need to be replace. Click on my signature under Wireless cards.
HOVLaneTM
How can I tell which I have? I don't have Intel Wireless, though. I know that for sure.
Administrators Hervé Posted May 3, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 3, 2014 Post us the output of Terminal command lspci -nn (needs lspcidrv kext in /E/E, normally installed with myHack). In Windows, look under Device Properties. Failing that, open up your laptop and look for the card. Dell have instruction manuals on their web site for opening up the laptop. HOVLaneTM
I'm in Device Properties of Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter... now what?
Administrators Hervé Posted May 3, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 3, 2014 Go to driver's details and get the info about PCI Vendor id + Product id (VID/PID). Eg: You can then compare with the info published in the supported/unsupported wireless cards thread that you'll find in R&D forum section.
