Romsteck
Hello, excuse my english, but I'm french .. I just have a problem when I want to install Mac OS X Mavericks on my HP Pavilion Dv6 3000sf. When I plug the USB hard drive to my computer, the installation starts,, but when the Apple bootlogo is showing, my computer stops to load and stay at the same screen. Additionaly, the computer's fan is running faster... Someone have a solution ? Thanks

Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 4, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 4, 2014 looks like you need a lapic patched kernel or try the chameleon kernel patcher module. you can get it from chameleon wizard app. HP is known for having this issue. Romsteck
How can I apply this patch on installation program ?
Administrators Hervé Posted May 8, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 8, 2014 Copy the lapic patched kernel to the root of your USB installer, then call it at bootloader startup. Failing that, keep a backup of the vanilla kernel and replace it with the lapic patched kernel that you'll rename accordingly. For the module, simply run the Cham Wizard from an existing Mac or Hack on your USB installer and apply the module indicated by Brontxteck.
