polyzargone
Hi ! Just a little question about the performance tunning guide.I'm running a Dell D830 nVidia Quadro NVS 135M with an Intel T7250 @ 2.0 Ghz and 2 Gb or RAM running Mavericks 10.9.3 and I'm willing to optimize it.So i've read the Performance tunning guide with FakeSMC & SMBios.plist and it seems that my laptop match a MacBook Pro 1,1 with 1.2f10 (SMC 1.0). My question is how to convert this value in PlistEditor Pro to modify the Data field like mentionned in the guide : "SMC version 1.30f3 which is displayed in Data field as 01300F00 0003" ? Thanks for help and congrats to the OSXlatitude crew which is doing a wonderful job on how to get OS X on PC !
Administrators Hervé Posted May 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 18, 2014 Read up the article on the matter in the Articles pages of the web site. It's also mentioned in the dedicated R&D thread that lists recommended & tested settings.
polyzargone
So mine should be : 1.2f100120f00 0010 correct ? But i's also mentionned that using olders SMBios prior to MacBook Pro 4,1 is useless as they don't enable Speedstate so I'm wondering if I should modify it ? Administrators Hervé Posted May 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 18, 2014 No, that's wrong. Read up the dedicated thread in R&D section for the values that apply to the D830 nVidia and follow the procedure detailed in the article to make your changes.
