Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 4, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2015 Not sure which version of Yosemite you're running, but download the 10.10.2 files. inside there's a new version of codecCommander 2.2.1 by the-Darkvoid. Install that to S/L/E. See if that helps.

Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 4, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2015 ok, I think I also have this issue. steps to get it working again: launch kextwizard. select the Loaded tab, do a search for codec on the bottom when found, do a Reload. Sound should come back to the speaker. If the headphone is still not work, just put system to sleep and then wake it up. That's a workaround for now until I could get something better. Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 4, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2015 the HP doesn't work at all even on a reboot or just after wake from sleep? No the vietnam tool does not have a working kext for this model. if you use voodoohda, you'll only get hissing white noise on the headphone The genericUSBXHCI was also in my bootpack, perhaps the vietnamtool has a newer version. works fine with mine but I don't a USB 3.0 device to test... ckleea
I am not sure if my E7240 is of any difference from all other users here. I am not able to boot the USB installer created using Jake's detailed instruction. Hence, I am still unable to install Yosemite. Mine is a E7240 i7-4600U FHD touch. Don't know if my machine is hardware or version different from those you have,
