markus
Hey ya'll, I'm trying to install OS X Lion to Dell D630, with Intel Core 2 Duo cpu and 4gb ram. I used myHack to make a usb bootstick. After I plug it in everything goes fine until it starts installing. It installs about 1/4 and then it completely freezes. The mouse is also unresponsive. I've tried several commands such as: -v, -x -v, GraphicEnabler=Yes, GraphicsEnabler=No etc. Has anyone got a clue what might be causing this? Thanks in advance! Administrators Hervé Posted March 8, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 8, 2015 Can you post your zipped /Extra folder? Did you configure the BIOS as per recommended settings? Run BIOS A17 if at all possible. Post the specs of your model so we know which one it is (Intel/nVidia GPU, screen res). A few recommendations: if you have an Intel wireless card, disable it in BIOS or remove it (it'll have to go anyway). disable Bluetooth initially too. when you run the USB installer, format your target HDD using GPT scheme and format your partition Mac OS X Extended (Journaled). Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 9, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 9, 2015 you can also try the boot flag cpus=1 incase. also you did not specify your graphics or your install os. the D630 intel can only go up to lion and you need the boot arch flag to be arch=i386
