dtrb
I followed 1-4 of this guide and at one point I had the USB drive listed in the UEFI boot area of the BIOS but now it's gone. Not even listed when I go back to Legacy boot. Any ideas?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2015 Set BIOS to UEFI Click on the Add Boot Option Under Boot Option Name:, just a name, i.e. EFI or Clover... Under File Name: on the right, click to browse Files System should be FS0 Select EFI/Clover/Cloverx64.efi Hit Ok and Ok again Now set the newly created Clover to the top of the list and hit Apply
dtrb
Yea I can't even get to that. At first I could navigate thru the file structure but I selected the wrong efi file. Ever since then I can't even see the usb now. I'm trying a different usb drive now. Also, should I be using usb 2.0? Or will 3 work?
dtrb
It's loading the install now. It was the usb 3.0 drive I think.
dtrb
So I used the files from post #19 and the files from post #20 and either one allows me to boot to the clover boot screen but after I select the Yosemite USB I get a circle with a line thru it. dtrb
I just found out that I have Intel 5500, so I'm using the method here: http://www.tonycrapx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/162062-guide-intel-hd-graphics-5500-os-x-yosemite-10-10-3-a.html Still no luck. I'm using the clover inject method.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2015 See here regarding the change of DVMT to 64MB. The config and DSDT won't work for you from those 2 posts as they are patched for HD 4400. Try this config, it should be able to get you through the installation. We'll work on getting QE/CI after a successful install. Remove the DSDT, we'll work on that as well after. config.plist.zip
dtrb
Yea mine is already on 64MB. I tried to inject but I don't know how to use the Clover Config app.
dtrb
I tried that config and I get the same thing. Which EFI.zip should I be using at this point?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2015 When you get to the Clover menu, hit spacebar, select verbose mode. Post the screenshot of where it hang. You can use the Clover attached by E5450, just replace the Config.plist and remove the DSDT/SSDT for the Patched folder.
