Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 4, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 4, 2016 Yes, use those commands. Also you must have SSDT.aml generated for your CPU.
Sorcerer
Yes have the ssdt.aml generated from 10.11.1. Something really screwy with 10.11.4. Followed the guide letter for letter and I keep getting kernel panics left right and centre
Sorcerer
Starting from scratch again. Oh and those sudo commands did not fix sleep. Laptop went to sleep and crashed/rebooted in wake

Sorcerer
10.11.1 is working flawlessly. I'll update to .4 later after uni studies finish in 8 weeks
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 5, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 5, 2016 I did a clean build with 10.11.4 and receive KP on first reboot. Was able to replace VoodooPS2Controller with ApplePS2Controller uploaded by Wern. See my guide under Updates section for link. Generated a new SSDT and sleep is working right away. No more KP
Sorcerer
nice.. well my system AUTO updated again.. Apple must be forcing the update to .4.. Grumble .... installed the new ALC292 kext that you have posted and audio still dies in the but.. i can re-initialise with sudo killall coreaudiod command and audio comes back for about 4 seconds then dies again. annoying much.. cptscruffy2
for preventing auto-update: system preferences -> app store -> uncheck install os x updates.
Sorcerer
thanks for that tip .. Well OSX 10.11.4 is running ok (i did not install the recovery update) .. sleep works, audio works when it wants too.. sometimes it will stay, sometimes its there briefly and then stops working. other times the Audio hardware is not detected.. Would editing DSDT or SSDT files to accomodate the audio be better then relying on kexts?
Sorcerer
Also have not tried HDMI output yet .. just tried it.. none of the HDMI Audio outputs appear to work.. video is great tho
